First Droid Eris update makes the slow OTA rollout starting tonight

I am back home from being out of town. And sad to say no update in West Texas as of 2:30pm. Damn it Gumby! (My 19 year old son hated that when he was little!) Showing my age again! Ya'll don't peek!
 
Not sure if I got it yet or not...I did get updates for apps (I thought that what it was), but declined because of poor signal this AM. Now I can't figure out how to go back to that message on notifications panel to get even those updates?
Can someone help me figure that out please?
 
OMG I know this one!! If it is updates for your apps you just go to market and my downloads and in the list there you will see update available on the list of your apps. Thank you, thank you!! I have shared my knowledge and it feels sooooooooo good!!! LMAO!!!

I charge my battery everynight and it lasts all day.
I saved the dowload update to my desktop.
Started to run it, but the back up data link will not work.
Anyone having this same problem today with their droid Eris ?
 
Has anyone done the update manually from the verizon website? Is there a drawback to this?
 
Thanks. Just read an article which stated the OTA update could take up to a week before it hits. I'll just head home and update myself.

Go go better reception!
 
Does anyone have the link to the manual update i have searched this thread and some others and cant find it, also will it work with a mac?

I did not really wait in front of my computer for 2 hours, i looked earlier and then reposted here periodically when i checked. I found it though, thank you for your response but it looks like it did not fix my signal issue. My phone still fluctuates alot when my curve has full bars especially if i hold it sideways to browse the web my bars go to 1 or maybe 2 looks like i will be returning it.

I've got the Eris and don't have a problem with my battery lasting all day. Whenever I'm done using programs (especially when I'm done doing things online), I just hit the Advanced App Killer icon that's on my home screen.

I've had the phone for a week and I love it! I've customized several screens with apps and shortcuts and a custom background and I've figured out how to view high def videos and improved music quality.
