i got my ebay battery I brought it from a seller located in NY it's charging right now not too sure if I need to keep unplugging and putting it back in to charge it fully.

thanks man

so it does come with everything listed including an external? And how long does shipping take? im guessin it will be the same since we are both in ATL :)

Sorry, just read this. Yes, it comes with everything although I recommend a docking station with a place to charge a spare battery (read my thread "not all external battery chargers...." To see why and which dock to buy) . Shipping took almost 3 weeks for me, so be patient...its worth it!

I hope the battery life is a bit better...

I will admit I've been playing music all morning since 5 AM I also have BT and 4G on as well along with wifi as you see.

judging from the thickness, those are the 1100-1200 mah type cells that last less than the stock battery. OK for on the fly changing without need for extended back.

Meh.

I went ahead and joined those that are ordering the 3500 mAh batteries from eBay. $22 for 2 batteries and a charger, what the hell. If I hate the thickness, I won't use it.

1) I and the one who started this thread bought from this seller here

2x 3000mAh Extended Battery+Cover For Sprint HTC EVO 4G - eBay (item 180533087368 end time Oct-12-10 07:43:55 PDT) and have nothing but great results!! I am about to buy another for my fiance but I'm considering trying a 3500mah just to see if there is any difference. I have heard, and began to believe myself, that there is no difference between the 2600mah - 3500mah batteries from ebay. BUT, I am going to buy one labeled 3500mah just to see if there is any, and if not there wont be any loss as it will be the same as the 3000mah like I already have.

Has any one else bought a 3000mah and a 3500mah just to compare the difference and see if there is any at all, or if they are indeed identical other than a sticker?

Another thing: I think we should all post who the ebay seller is, and what our found results are form them. Including: shipping time, communication(if there was any), immediate results, and 1 month later results.
I just ordered from the seller using the link you provided.
This may sound like a stupid question but do I need to do anything other than replace the battery and charge it or will the information on the phone all need to be reinstalled when you take out the battery to replace it with another one?

Very excited to be able to use the phone as it is intended with the GPS running and Google Talk running instead of stripping all the features down to be able to use it throughout the day!

Nothing has to be done to your phone to use this battery . Simply install the battery and the battery back . I think what is confusing you is people discussing the wiping of battery stats . This is where the line blurs some . Some believe that by wiping the battery stats through recovery (only if you are rooted) will improve how the phone charges the battery . Other believe the phone itself will learn and adapt to the new battery thus not requiring the battery stat wipe . My phone is rooted so I wiped the stats anyways , I figure what the hell ? Isnt gonna hurt anything so why not . I have the Seidio 3500 and how it acts being charged in the phone is as follows . When unplugged from the charger it will drop to 95% quickly then over the next 3 to 4 hours drop slowly to 90 . From there on its a slow and steady drop . This is while I am texting frequently , checking facebook , and my gmail and weather auto sync every hour . GPS will still drain the battery but you will see a much slower drop in comparison to the stock battery .

YES YES YES Great case!!!

Also modding a TPU case and using it with a innocase seidio holster works as well . I have been running with this setup for the past week and like it . Its similar to the iphone 4 bumper case but also accomidates the siedio 3500 batter back plate . Definitly enjoying the evo again . I have always thought HTC should have put a bigger battery in this phone . The features it has requires the added battery power .

Should I go by time since unplugged? Or awake time?

I always went by time unplugged having said that I would get maybe 10-14 hours out of the stock battery..

with the 3500 mAh battery at work I play Mp3's on the phone and when I get home I use wifi to stream pandora.

I have the default settings for the screen to shut off which I think is 1 min?

What times should I be seeing? Sensorly can't be running that hard to drain it that fast.

ok i plan on ordering from the link on the 1st post!
would i be able to continue charging the phone like i normally do on the charger that came with the phone?
or do i need to buy a new charger?

Well Awake Time is what really matters because thats when your using the phone. With Set CPU and my profile I have of 245 with the screen off, my phone loses only 1-2% overnight while I'm sleeping (granted I only sleep about 6 hours), so Up Time is kinda irrelevant because the phone might be sitting idle with the screen off the entire time....I can get crazy Up Time if I dont use my phone. The guys you see getting 3 days of Up Time are obviously using SetCPU and not using their phone..

The seller in the OP has a package that includes an external charger, thats what I bought. I would also recommend buying a docking station with a slot in the back for a extra battery
