Root [ROM] ApeX V1.0 for Droid X - An AOSP Experience (10/20/10)

Ah. Interesting. Well I can't reinstall (obviously, that'd require clockwork or rommanager to work. None of my root required stuff works) any ideas? Superuser still appears to be functioning to some extent... doubt its related but I can't DL anything from the market...

I can't think of what the best next step might be...?

Update: uninstalled bootstrap, reinstalled, now it works fine. Still can't use.screenshot apps, wireless tethering, etc.

Uninstalled the other programs and that fixed it. Wireless tether can't be uninstalled so I cleared the app data and that fixed.it. that was. Easy...
 
Ok, some problems have been developing lately..

When I go to add a widget my phone sometimes freezes and reboots, also happens when I go to load my gallery, also happens when I go into my dialer, also happens when I press the home button.

Only thing I have installed is all of your own ROM and ROM features.
 
I believe the latest release was. I might try one of the oc apps and undervolt to see if that clears it up. I've used beasley's OC from rom manager with no issues, but it seems the X processor is very finiky. Some people oc w/ no problems others its a coin flip.
 
i'm sure this has been asked, but i haven't been able to find it. i know the blur camera can be installed, but can the blur texting be added back as well? i remember trying to get it to come back in the past with no luck. installed conversations.apk and a couple of others. any help would be appreciated.
 
I'm having some issues with the blur gallery. It won't seem to scan for changes like it usually does...if i download a picture from dropbox or a website, it won't show up in the gallery without rebooting. Any ideas?

One of SwitchPro's buttons is "Reload media." That is what I use when something doesn't show up right away.

I think you need to go into your superuser app, just clear all the entries in there. Then, the next time you launch that app, it'll ask for permissions again.

I think you need to turn off the overclocking. Go into terminal emulator and type:

su
overclocking -off
reboot

If there's a Blur app you just gotta have, you can reinstall it using the install script. Download the following file:

removedapps.zip

Those are all the apps from the stock 2.3.15 system I removed. Copy the one(s) you want to your sdcard, and install by typing the following into terminal emulator:

su
install BlurJunk.apk

I did the install BackupAssistanceClient.apk the app shows in the apps I tried to open it looks like its going to open but then goes back to the home screen... thankx for any help!!
 
anybody got the stock android unlock included in this rom? I was an idiot and flashed the black notification bar from rom manager, and now I have the froyo blur lockscreen crap again
 
I flashed the revolution theme so I'm ok now. I would love to have it for a back up tho if you don't mind sharing

i had wanted to use this but dont know how to use.
 
sure once you open autokiller, just press them menu key and a menu pops up down at the bottom. Select presets from that menu and scroll down to Ultimate and select it. thats all i do. :D
