Update From Mobile Phones Direct

Ordered my DHD from MPD in September, very excited for a whole month, told it would arrive in November now.

Cancelled the order, went online to e2save... ordered last night they are delivering it tomorrow. Same deal it's a 24monther but had that with MPD already.

e2save seemed quick and easy and helpful, although word of warning their hold music is terrible!!

hope it really does arrive tomorrow.

How have people with the DHD already found it? Lived up to all expectations?

Scrap all of the above e2save are idiots too... it really does seem you cannot work in the mobile phone game without excelling in some form of incompetence

Tis the way of it I fear.

Clove and Expansys seem to be more respectable and actually have staff who know what they're talking about and are willing to resolve issues. Anyway.

sorry guys for the multiple posts but still trying to order with e2save.

Gotta say their credit check facilities and methods are a bit long winded and rubbish and the holding music is murder on the ears... the staff on the other end truly do try and help and are very friendly with their service!

If only their friendliness and personal touch was reflected throughout the company and the mobile phone industry as a whole!

e2save were good with me, was getting worried when finally at 18:31 yesterday they told me it would be here today. And it is :)

Back up to 14 days delivery again now. What are they playing at ???

If their T-Mobile deal wasnt still the best on the market, i`d have got it elsewhere by now.

You can request a PAC code at any time.

It''s best to give it on your order so it can get all transferred and set when you get your new phone :)

I disagree. There's no reason not to do it after you've gotten the phone, checked it's fine and that you're happy with everything.

Running two phones for a couple of extra days far far outweighs the potential inconvenience of finding something wrong with the phone/sim/account half way through porting your number.

did anyone gwt theird yet fromwhen they pre ordered?

....did you type that with your face?!

I cancelled my order on the weekend, now I wish I hadn't. No one else has a deal that comes close to theirs. Now I have to wait another 2 weeks :(

At least it gives me time to consider the HD7 and Dell Venue Pro.

Not really, its a personal preferance Karnka.

I prefer not to be piss balling about when I get my new phone by calling up my current operator to go through retention offers which they could have offered me prior to me leaving, etc.

If you find something wrong with the phone, you return it..most folk get the phone because they want it, not because they just want to mess about with it and then return it so to speak.

As I said, its just there for convinience of the end user, theres no real right or wrong way of doing things, personal preferance.

So lemme get this straight, you cancelled with MPD, now you are going to re-order again?

Could you not contact MPD and see if they will reserve the old spot for you?

I cancelled it because I wasn't really what was going on with the battery issues. Wasn't sure if people were complaining because they weren't used to smart phones or because it does have a really poor battery life even for a smartphone.

I'm still not totally sure what the answer is, plenty of people have said it lasts all day with average use with everything turned on/on default settings. Other people say it doesn't. Still not really sure what to believe :/

I cancelled my order with them and i am looking for others to go with. I cancelled as no matter how may emails or phones calls i made they couldn't give me an answer on when they would be getting it in. They promised by the 1st of november we would recieve an email say when i will be dispatched, no email, phoned them, they said they don't have a date, so i cancelled there and then.

My DHD has just arrived from MPD, despite still showing "pending stock" last night.

Unfortunately I have just been 'called out' for work, so wont get a chance to play with it until this evening.

Mine was on pre-order from 20th Sept.
