[RELEASED] The 4.3 inch "Thunderbolt" aka "Mecha" aka "Incredible HD" from HTC...beyond coming soon!

This will definitely be my next phone, 3G or LTE. I would love to get an LTE phone, but if this one is 3G only, oh well. 4.3" SenseUI Verizon phone FTW!

would it be possible for this phone to be 3g as well as lte? if not lte only just killed this phone for me. im simply not willing to pay for 4g pricing.

what i'm kinda getting now is that there are 2 devices, 1 is the incredible hd that is supposed to be coming out on the 23rd and will be 3g. another is something else that will be coming out first quarter next year and will be 4g. this is all purely speculation at this point but its good that the inc hd with 3g may still be a green light for this month. i'm not ready to pay extra for 4g and on top of that have a cap on my usage. why give me ultra fast download speeds but then i have to constantly watch my usage so as not to go over.

all LTE devices will also be 3G, VZW voice will still use the 3G network for now

Question will be if VZW forces people to get LTE metered service with this, or allow 3G unlimited to carry over and forget the LTE. I will take unlimited 3G over metered LTE.

If this device has 16gb built-in and allocates about 1.6gb for app space and 14gb for media, I will probably buy this.

In two weeks KY is going to smoke the Vols! Ahh, who am I kidding :(

The one bad thing about maybe leaving the Incredible is the sweet DSP manager that the Incredible has after rooting :)

Then again. the call quality will NOT be missed- assuming the HD is better, of course.

yea that wouldn't surprise me, UT stinks this year. i am perfectly happy with my incredible, never had a dropped call or bad call quality. my wifes incredible drops calls all day long and is on its way out for a replacement that should be here tomorrow. so there is a problem with at least some incredibles as far as call quality, hopefully htc won't make that mistake twice.

I am keeping a very close eye on this phone. It looks very sexy, and I am in love with that kickstand! I watched the walkthrough for the Desire HD on Youtube and it looks amazing.

I am going to wait for reviews to see how call quality and battery life is. I also want to see how picture and video quality is. The number of megapixels means nothing to me.

ok so i just left my local verizon store a few hours ago and had an interesting talk with a salesman there. i told him i had a coouple upgrades and was looking at phones.
after a while he came back and asked if i had seen anything i liked to which i replied "i think my next phone is coming out on the 23 of november". he looked at me confused and i said "you know the new incredible. i think it is called the incredible hd".
at this point he was really looking at me funny and asked "are you with corporate "?
i awkwardly said ""no haha". he said well how do you know about that phone? and i just smiled.
he said let me check on something and walked over to the manager they looked up something on the computer and talked for a second. he came back and said that this phone will indeed be released on 11-23 and he took my phone number and told me that he will call me when they get them in and put two back for me if i still want them! he also gave me his card

very awesome, too bad the verizon reps in store are usually very unreliable and have no idea whats really going on but if they told you that then lets hope they are right!

lmao, that was my exact thinking. no matter what the rep says its all lies until 11-23 pretty much or an announcement by VZW

seriously my wife and i just left. he actually agreed with me it was better to wait on this phone when he knew he had a definate sale today on the x since it was actually what i went to look at.

now that theres speculation about whether it may be LTE or just 3g you should ask him if he knows anything about that.

yea i know 4g won't be ready but i was thinking maybe a hybrid 3g/4g like the evo.

All Verizon 4G phones will be "hybrid 3G/4G" as you put it. They can't do voice over LTE yet, so they'll be using their 3G (CDMA) for voice, and also for data in areas where they won't have 4G access.

Releasing a 4G only device with the smaller initial coverage footprint would be stupid. Even Sprint's Wimax phones default back to CDMA, and T-Mobile's HSPA+ phones fall back to HSPA and GSM/EDGE/GPRS.

I think crimton was referring to it being "4G ready". It doesn't look like that will be the case at this point...but not 100% confirmed yet.

maybe i worded that poorly, i know a device will not be released that is LTE only i was merely wondering if the device on the 23rd may already have the hardware for LTE as well or it will indeed be 3g only.

4g is not a big deal for me. I'm 90% sure I'll be giving this phone a go when it's released.
I'm connected to WiFi most the time I need to use internet features on my phone and even yesterday Istreamed a few games with Sundayticket on my Incredible over 3g without a hiccup . I did get a little excited when they said this could be LTE but if it's not ohh well that will jus tsave me a few bucks a month.

As far as I am concerned The Incredible HD being a 3G phone is fine by me. 3G is fast enough and there is also wifi. How fast do you need it to be? Everything opens on my Droid X almost instantly and web pages are very fast to load.

I guess people want there apps to open when they think about them, before they touch the screen, lol.

yea i'm more than ok with 3g, 2 weeks from tomorrow is the release date. wasn't it about 2 weeks out when the incredible went up for pre-order?
