***Official Samsung Fascinate 2.2 Speculation Thread***

I rooted my fascinate and so far i love it but i mainly did it to hopefully get froyo because who knows when Verizon and samsung will give it to us. Is there a way to get froyo on my fascinate yet?

we have no form of 2.2 yet, be it leak or official....the forum is littered with threads discussing this in some length :)

Ok, what is the benefit of a dock, realistically? If it gives video out, I'll go out and buy one right away, but if it's just a glorified phone holder that plugs into USB and adds no big functionality, I don't see what the big benefit of a dock is over, say, a cheap old regular GPS/smarphone holder.

Yea I don't know really difference, never had any thought of getting 1
 
There's a phone case I bought for about 10 bucks on ebay, it has a flip lever that retracts on the back so you can stand the phone up. It's easier than a dock, charger hooks right up as usual, no plastic contraption to deal with.

Convenience. Instead of plugging in both the charger and audio cable into the phone every time I get in the car I just put the phone in the dock. I have the cables secured in one location instead of all around for a much neater appearance. Access to the phone is in a better location for me to see and manipulate, instead of in the cupholder with cables going across from seat to dash. For my vehicle the dock was a good choice. Of course the audio doesn't work now so it kinda sucks.

I had that but the stand breaks very easily. What I use now is the battery charger to hold up the phone when I view videos in bed.

Phone fits nicely in the curved end there even with the case on it.

Yeah the minute 2.2 or even 2.3 drops its going to be here. With nitsuj17 on the east coast and an early riser and me on the west coast and a night owl we do have the whole 24 hours covered.
And not so much lately, but awhile ago Id be in irc and would not go to sleep till nitsuj17 woke up and said good morning to everyone. That was my scolding to go to sleep myself :p

Haha, thats the thing Im getting more into that now since I got laid off my other position Im still trying to find something more conventional. Training is my second job so to speak. But its true that sometimes its surprising I look the way I do despite my sleep habits and up and down dietary habits. Im re-dialed in now I think hence the no late night irc. Im once again walking the walk instead of just talking the talk. I did pick up quite a few new clients or at least 1 time trials so we'll see.
Its the nature of the business but 4 of my 5 new clients this week are all 50+ and just lookin for general fitness and toning. Whats odd is our gym has a second trainer, she's actually been there longer. She's like 48 years old and very thin and lean, looks like a traditional yoga gal. But a lot of people gravitated towards me probably just because I look the part and was offering 50% training sessions for January.

OK on topic one of my new people got herself the LG Vortex for Xmas to herself. It has 2.2 :mad::mad::mad::mad:. Of course I showed her my SF and she doesnt even know what 2.1 vs 2.2 means. Like 90% of end users. Thats the real reason Samsung can drag their feet. 9 of the 10 million SGS owners dont know what 2.1 and 2.2 means :rolleyes:
