Root Time Bomb?

It seems like there is a time bomb on my phone.
I SBF my phone, it is now wiped, extremely fast. Then I redownload my apps, root it, rom it etc. I use Launcher Pro Plus.
Everything is extremely fast, this lasts for a month.
All of a sudden, the phone seems to blow a fuse. LPP (Launcher Pro Plus) seems to FC every 5 minutes, the phone runs much slower, and everything is bad.
I don't change anything, and this happens every time I SBF and install a ROM, my phone after 1-4 weeks just suddenly is horrible.
Then I SBF, new rom, and boom back to super-fast.


Why does my phone do this, is it LPP?
Should I try the new ADW ex?

I'd need really good widgets though. Any widget recommendations / anyone know why my phone suddenly gets horrible after a certain amount of time? I don't install new apps or anything! Nothing changes, apps just start FC all the time [mainly LPP] after a month! It is fine until then I don't get it.

You could try the free ADW launcher. I have not had my phone for a full month yet, but it's still running good. (Apex 1.3.1)

Have you tried 'Go Launcher' yet? I'm a LPP convert. Used to swear by it. I tried GL about a month ago and haven't looked back. Much, MUCH faster and more stable on my phone than LPP.

1 - 4 weeks sounds like something you're doing... Are you giving apps the chance to properly close? I.e. do you use task killers much, or reboot without going through the "Shutting Down..." screen?

I use a task killer maybe twice a month when things get slowish. Maybe thats it?

Seriously, I would explore other launchers. I also used Launcher Pro, but dropped it until the rewrite is complete. At that point hopefully it will be more stable.

At the moment I am using GoLauncher and really like it. The only issue I have with it is sometimes the widgets don't load on the "desktop" when returning to it. The background is there, but without any widgets. I have to press the home button to get back to a normal "desktop". But overall I am much happier with GoLauncher than I was with LauncherPro

Well i just need a replacement twitter widget, something as good as Launcher Pro Plus's twitter widget.
