Ok so i need to partition my sd for apps2sd i no dan doesnt recomend rom manager but has anyone else successfully used it to partition without problems thanks in advance

yes, however its bad and can sometimes go wrong
also it doesnt align the partition which will make the device run slower when writing to it

use gparted live cd/usb and boot to it
it only takes a minute

I used ROM Manager when I first partitioned an SD card. It worked fine for me.

I've since increased the size of my SD card using the above methods, which I was also advised.

I used Rom Manager too and have had no problems - it was very very easy. I think though that the ext partition is going to run out before my proper internal storage does. I have about 100mb of each but started out with 4 times as much ext partition. Have downloaded the ISO for GParted Live and have burned a CD. Just need to get round to using it to create a 1gb partition which I think will be more than enough.

Thanks, Lecter. Nice to be able to see the process. I assume, aside from the opening music (why is it always necessary to have music on these videos?), that there is no sound. At least I didn't hear anything if he was talking. But his balloon explanations were enough.

I guess it makes people feel cool to add music and it's a good way to get your vid removed from YT! Oh well!

Yeah, it's only bubbles and I used my laptop beside my desktop to do this procedure, stopping the vid whenever needed.

rom manager works, its not fine
like i said it doesnt align the partitions and so reduces the read and write speeds to the cards.
ive seen instances of rom manager creating a bad partition and so flashing rom ends in bootloop

it works but its better to learn to do it the good/solid way then using the easy way.

the alternative is to flash amonRA recovery using unrevoked custom or s-off

Goin to usethis now do i delete all my sd card before use and i have a 16gb sd card class 4 what partitions wood be best thanks for this guys

Ah good idea aha lol didnt think about that so im guna flash my first rom leedroid so iv backed up with clockwork and titanium bakup set my partition usin gpparted downloaded my rom do i jus put zip on root of my sd boot recovery and flash rom? Doesnt need plugged into comp ect

No, "Install zip from sd card". If it boot loops, its due to incompatible system settings (which are stored on /data partition). You have to then gl back into recovery and "wipe data / factory reset" so ensure you have a titanium backup of your apps first
