Droid X Vs. Incredible

I went from 7 months of the Incredible to the DX recently. Battery has been 6's for me so far and I was rooted on both. Gotta say the DX is the better hardware and Incredible has the better UI. UI can be changed
So you like the Dx compared to the Dinc and plan on keeping it? How many hours of battery life were you averaging on the Dinc and now the Dx?

I actually like the more narrow(er) screen size of the DX (In comparison to the evo). And was considering it over the Dinc during my 30 days. 
But I don't know why that HUMP bothers me so much! I'm almost sure I would have gotten the phone if it wasn't that damn hump back. stupid hump back whale!

I have both phones, with the X currently activated. I thought I was getting better battery life until yesterday when I had to use GPS for Navigation almost all day. I don't keep good stats, but the battery icon was "yellow" after about 6 hours. Also, it did not appear to be charging with the car charger and kept getting a popup message saying something like "disconnect the charger to reduce energy consumption" or something like that. Right now, the only thing i LIKE about the X is it's size, which is the primary reason I bought it. Never thought I'd say this, but I think I miss Sense 
.
Also, I can't do the ##778 to get free hotspot with the X and that may be a deal breaker in favor of the incredible.

To be honest, this topic has been pretty thoroughly discussed here. I know it is asking a lot (there is a lot of info here), but I would suggest reading through this thread.
My personal opinion is that it all comes down to user experience. If you remove the obvious things like size, hardware/form factor and brand loyalty, you are left with performance (negligible), GUI (do you like sense or not) and possibly what accessories are available.
For me, I had the Incredible before the X came out and when I went to the VZW store to compare side-by-side, I FELT the Incredible stacked up to and even surpassed the X in many areas. Screen transition was smoother, apps seemed to open faster and although I do not use it, Sense was really nice.
IMHO, the bottom line is that they are both excellent phones and there simply is not a discernible difference other than the obvious visual variations.
P.S. If you are talking a couple of months, why not keep your options open? You MAY see something that steers you away from either or both of these phones!!

I did. I decided to try out the DX a couple months ago. I didn't make it past the first day. For me, it wasn't the size (I'm 6'5" and have big hands- I actually PREFER the larger keyboard size)- for me, it was just the overall physical refinement of the device.
To be fair and compare apples to apples, I set it up completely like my DI (except rooting), w/ LauncherPro, ALL my apps, set up homescreens, settings etc etc etc, before I took it on its maiden voyage. I could not get back to my DI fast enough. There wasn't one specific tangible concern, other than the fact that TO ME, it did not feel as 'polished' in terms of smoothness, speed, and refinement as my DI. Wiped the phone and came immediately back to my DI after apologizing to it for my adulterous behavior. It accepted me back with open arms, thankfully.

I also owned the Dinc, then Fascinate and now the DX. IMO the DX's build quality far surpasses the squeaky cheap plastic used on the Dinc and the Fascinate, again just my opinion.

hmmm strange.
I know that to some people camera quality is not that important. But I was told that the DX camera is pretty bad (reviews). The Dinc camera is pretty good. Considering how large the DX is and with the bump on the back where the camera lense is, its suprising that the camera sucks.
If the DX was slightly smaller 4" screen with a great camera like the iphone4 and was friendly when it comes to rooting I would buy it over the Dinc.

The Incredible's camera is nowhere near as good as the Fascinate's. Not even close. I have both.

I don't know where you got the Fascinate from. He was talking about the DX. ^^
Reading comprehension, grasshopper.
He mentions that the X's camera sucks then midway he says "the Dinc (aka Droid Incredible) camera is pretty good."
I "got" Fascinate by comparing my Fascinate camera to the Incredible's, telling him how much better the Fascinate's is. I own both phones.
True but the X is such an odd form factor considering its shape. The Fascinate feels slightly cheap but still sexy given how thin it is.

First, yes this is a Droid X vs. Incredible thread...but we do not suppress opinions here...Especially ones that apply to the conversation and may help the person who asked the question to begin with to make an informed decision!
That said, I think it has been beaten to death that as cameras go, the Fascinate is the best choice!

So im switching to verizon and im looking at two phones in particular, the DX and the Droid Incredible, im leaning torwards the Droid incredible but can anyone give me the pros and cons of the Droid incredible so i know what to expect (good and bad) thanks guys
