"My local Verizon Wireless store said tonight, 1/22/11, that the HTC Thunderbolt was going on sale Feb. 11th; one day after the iPhone for Verizon! The staff (all 5 of the people working who have never mislead my in the past 4 years) said that just this morning they had a meeting in which they received this information! A new excitement is inside me once again"

I posted this on AndroidCentral forums about an hour ago, and thought I'd be kind enough to share it with everyone here who may not be apart of both forums. I have been following this website and AndroidCentral for a few weeks now since you're both quick to come up with new info, so I thought I'd contribute what I could.

Idk, I feel like only having to wait just under 3 more weeks is ok.

Seeing as most people were projecting a Feb. 14th release at the VERY earliest, while most were saying early March.
 
My Incredible has a blown speaker and I am looking into having it replaced. Should I replace it with the Thunderbolt or wait to see what else HTC has to offer later this year? I know I will wait for the TB to be rooted before I get it, can't imagine having a phone that isn't rooted after the Incredible.

Get it on a one year contract and be done with it. The ThunderBolt looks great!

I hear ya!! I'm not taking any chances... I'm taking a vacation day and getting there when they open on launch day. I can't wait to be rid of my Samsung Frustrate.
 
What is with the cryptic release dates.. Why would Verizon say the wait was so long at CES. Kinda aggravating.

Oh. Lol I was looking at it like.... Umm I dont know what I am supposed to think about this sentence about the iphone.... Probably a typo on their end they fixed real fast.
 
This is great news! I cant wait to get rid of my Droid Eris!! The thunderbolt will def be a great upgrade but wondering wat you guys think of it only having 1.2 processor instead of the dual processor on the Bionic?

I just got off the phone with a Verizon rep who had NO CLUE as to when the Thunderbolt will be released. Then again, that's pretty much par for the course. Most Verizon store reps have NO CLUE PERIOD! LOL!!!

The reps will know nothing except these words for the next 2 weeks....iPhone! I want an iPhone, it has the wi fi 's.....lmaoo!
 
You can preorder the TB at Best Buy starting tomorrow for a $50 deposit. The ad still says release date not available though :confused:
 
My money is on March 3. Puts the launch just out of the new return period if someone gets the iPhone and allows time for people to get paid and come in the next monday.
