Root Notification Bar Text Color

It's been awhile apparently since someone had a problem with this, but I'm looking for the easiest way to change black text in the notification bar to white. I've read a couple posts, but they seem kind of dated now and IMO there has to be an easier way to change these by now I'm sure I just haven't found it yet.

Unless you are on Liberty and using the Liberty Toolbox, then go to post #2 here (somewhere towards the middle of the post):
