Root Fission 2.6.1

Just tried it during my lunch hour here. Sad to report, it did not work. I installed it like you said but when the phone rebooted, no market at all!! :eek:

Rebooted again and still no market. :(

I did a nandroid back to where I was. I think I've officially given up on getting this new market to install with Fission.

I'm thinking you have to be on v2.2.11 before going to v2.3.2. Try installing the Liberty market over v2.2.7 then install v2.3.2. You sure your market didn't update on you from v2.2.7 to 2.3.2 without you noticing on your Fission setup?

I tried those themed markets earlier to only have to reinstall fission. I haven't had my phone set up for the past day or so becuase I know im going to need to reinstall something sooner or later until I get how I like it. (and get it working properly). I don't know what could be causing the market to fail like that.
 
Am I the only lucky one to get it to work on Fission? Granted I'm using my own modified market, but just seems odd :confused:

Yeah Im definitely still on 2.27. May try this later today. Don't have time at the moment.

I know right. I figured I had to try it. I already did a bunch of nandroid's and troubleshooting, so one more time (the millionth) being the charm. :p;):D

Cool deal with the market, its a fitting icon!

Now that we have that settled (thanks to you sir), how is Fission running for you? Battery life etc?

You know, since there is about 3 or four of us here running it lol.

It's actually been running pretty good so far, battery seems as per usual compared to past Fission iterations, running BWC theme too :D

Good ol' trusty Fission :D don't know what else to say :p

Yeah its been running smooth for me so far. Have not run it in awhile. Battery life is not as good a ApeX but its better than Liberty me thinks. How many hours are you getting on a full charge?

Not sure, I haven't run a full battery charge on it yet :p I've been switching back and forth with ApeX and Liberty testing the market out :D

I never had an issue with battery life on Liberty either....so...........I would like to try out ApeX longer, but I just can't, it lags too much for me.

While I'm on Apex, when loading certain apps or when trying to add a widget, etc., I find myself saying "Come on, Come on, Come on", but when I run Liberty or Fission I find my self saying "Come" and bam, it's there.....hahaha :D:D

Although I do have to say, the market may be a little faster on ApeX, not much though.
 
Donated a lot of money but I can't get FRM to list 2.6.2 as a download. Posted in the XDA thread twice about this. Any reason for it? what's the latest FRM ?

I didn't even know there was a 2.6.2, I thought the latest was 2.6.1........you sure about that 2.6.2???
 
I just donated in an attempt to get fission 2.6.1 but the link it gave me after donating directed me to a DL for 2.2.1, a hotfix, and a 1.2.4 rom manager... what gives? where do i get 2.6.1?

Edit: nvm, figured it out, guess not being dense and being patient helps lol

+1 I feel the same way. Fission and Liberty are really fast where ApeX lags, which is sadly why I ended up leaving that ROM awhile ago. I tried 1.4 and although battery life was good, the lag just got to me.

Question for you and everyone else on Fission. What launcher are you using and why? Im using LPP and its ok, but thinking of giving Go Launcher a shot. I also have ADW EX at my disposal but have not tested it with Fission yet.

What are your battery stats like. For example Im off the charger today for about three and a half hours of limited use and Im sitting at 87%. Not great but decent I guess.

I run LPP myself; for one, It's the first home replacement app I tried, and I'm just sentimentally hooked on it. Plus, it's never given me any trouble such as lag, freeze, or causing my phone to reboot. I've tried others such as ADW and GO Launcher, I just can't make myself stay on them.....lol.

I've been of the charger since 6:30 am, it's now 5 mins shy of 3 hours with minimal use, and I'm at 94%.
