Accessories Cases

I fitted my otterbox defender case 2 days ago and found no modification necessary to fit to the phone, I did have to modify the belt clip/holster to be able to plug in the headphones with the phone in it. I just took a dremmel tool and notched the bottom of the holster till the rubber flap cleared.

OtterBox: Hi Black, apparently the Inspire has nearly the same form factor as the Desire HD. Our Engineering Otters tell me that our Desire HD Commuter Series case will work for the Inspire, but our Defender Series case will require some modifications. Hope this helps!

Does anybody have any reviews about the Case-mate Barely There case? And if I use a full body ZAGG cover, will cases still fit?

Okay I just got my case-mate barely there case. It's basically just a plastic shell. It fit's great (in fact I can't get my phone back out of it haha) and looks great. My only gripe is that it doesn't do much to protect the screen. I might just use it for a while then switch to an otter box or something similar.

Regarding the Case-Mate Barely There cases that some folks have been having success with, can you guys confirm that you've purchased the one for the HTC Desire HD?
thanks,
Mike

I just ordered one, as well as the Pop case.

I had a Pop for my iphone4, and it was a nice case.

Recently picked up the Body Glove case being sold by AT&T - MSRP $29.99, with my accessory discount came to $20.00 out the door, Great fit with minimal added bulk

Received an email drom Case Mate that my barely there case shipped. Looking forward to getting it. I use a holster for work and I'm hoping this combo works well.

Just ordered my otterbox commuter from newegg and I also got the slipglip desire hd otterbox commuter car mount from ebay. Not too bad for $51 total.

My Otterbox Commuter case just came in. It also came with a free car charger. It fits like a glove and looks awesome.

Only negative I see so far is that the silicon parts pick up lint easy. Nothing big but if you're anal like me, it might bug you. So I keep it on my waist in a leather pouch instead of inside my pockets. Anyone know if there's a holster for the commuter case?

Anyways I'm loving it and even took back the Body Glove case I bought from AT&T.

I ordered the Otterbox Commuter (Desire HD) on the Inspire's launch day mainly because I loved the Commuter case on my iPhone 3GS.

The case arrived on Saturday and I slapped it on the phone. I liked the case for 1-2 days but then started to notice some things:

1. Case did not seem to fit the Inspire as well as my Commuter case fit my iPhone.

2. The silicone liner would move significantly every time I pressed the stand-by button.

3. The outer plastic shell appeared to be made from a thinner/less rigid piece of plastic than my iPhone's case.

4. Case did not sit flush with the back of the phone, especially around the flash/camera/speaker.

Number 4 was very noticeable when I would lay my phone down on my desk at work. With all other phones/cases I would set my phone on my desk and be able to hear the phone vibrate when I got a text/e-mail. Not with this case...when sitting on my desk I couldn't even tell the phone was vibrating.:(

As a result, today I mailed the case back to Otterbox.

Earlier today I stopped by Best Buy and picked up the Seidio Innocase 2 (the BB version w/ holster). I wasn't sure I'd like it because I had a similar case on a previous Blackberry and really didn't care for it.

As of now I really like this case. It has a nice snug fit, feels solid in your hand, slides nicely out of my pocket and doesn't add as much bulk as the Otterbox.:)

I will miss the covers over the ports, but all in all I really like the Seidio case (hopefully I'll still feel the same in a week).

That would be awesome if they did make Android cases. The capsule rebel was my favorite case by far for the iphone

Those Switcheasy cases look really nice and well made. Hope they do make some for this phone but seems doubtful since they focus mainly on IPhone cases. You'd think with the amount of Android devices that have sold over the last 12 months they would love to tap into that market especially with some IPhone users jumping ship to Android.

So the Seidio Innocase 2 case fits? When you say BB, do you mean the Best Buy version or something else? Could you send a link to it so I can see if it is available at my local store.

Thanks.

Where did you buy it that it came with a free car charger?

I bought the ATT tough case made by case-mate and I love it. Fits the phone perfectly. It's kinda funky getting on/off but it isn't too bad. The only setback I can see with it is the bottom has an exposed rubber piece that the hard shell doesn't cover and I am afraid I might snag it one day and rip it right off. IDK, I might just be paranoid. Either way it is really nice and looks really good on the phone.

I took your advice and picked this up today and I must say I like it. Works great in the holster and fits well in my pocket.

Thanks for the advice.

Same here! Got the Platinum series case from BB. (Seidio re branded case) Love it so far. It not too "rubbery / grippy" but its not too "glossy / shiny" either. Sort of in between. Doesnt add much bulk at all. I was debating on buying a case at all because I liked to carry it in my front pocket. I still carry it in my front pocket like nothing has changed. Now I also have the option to geek it out and use a belt clip! hehee :D

i got the case from best buy what u guys think about tht one...i payed 35 nd it seems good but i still feel like the screen would break if i dropped it just cuz the screen is so dam big
