This is purely speculation, but with these damned delays, Sammy's phone will probably release right around the Tbolt. Now mind you I won't go Samsung (for the reasons that have been stated ad nauseam), but it's getting to be sad that those Tbolt ads saying the 1st 4G phone may not be correct. Especially considering at CES the Tbolt was the most polished and the Sammy the least.

I was going to buy the Tbolt full retail but maybe I'll just wait and ride out my contract and evaluate the phone/ carrier situation at that time.

It's kinda like with my dog. You can dangle something in front of her for awhile & she HAS to have it. But if you hold onto it for too long she gives up & lays down.

I don't doubt the Thunderbolt will be the first 4g phone on Verizon, I am sure Verizon and HTC have an agreement on that. No matter if the Samsung phone is ready now, Thunderbolt will be first.

Sounds like an Apple reference to me. Also, I swear this is the second time I have seen a "source" mention unicorns, whatever that means.
 
Verizon should just come out and say it will be out sometime this year. A little courtesy would be nice from them to let us know whats going on so others can plan accordingly.

This is exactly why I am upset with them. It's not the fact that the phone is not out yet, it's just that they have yet to publicly announce anything or inform their customers of the situation.
 
i think it'll at least start @ $29.99/unlimited and then next year when 4G is the norm and 3g isn't, there may be a little boost in price just because they can do it... but they should(hopefully..) grandfather everyone in that already has the 4g plans

I would feel much better about this device if that is true. I use WiFi so much that a $250 phone with a $40 capped data plan was not giving me a warm fuzzy.
 
I just want more references to Unicorn farts... I have been hording a huge supply of them and can't wait for LTE to take off so I can corner the market!

Think I'll go buy a DINC today to hold me over for the March 3rd release (wink!)
