It is a perspective worth mentioning. I would also, should I happen to be working at BB during a product launch like this one, be very frustrated by not having the tools (information) to assist the droves of customers and potential customers all who have one basic question. Sure answering questions and answering them well is a big part of their job but they are just as in the dark (more so) than most of us (forum folk).

And it is funny because I've read some posts on here ripping BB apart and maybe rightfully so, but the fact of the matter is, that a lot of the people who work there, including the kids just starting out like my brother-in-law, take their job seriously and actually take pride in what they do. They want to help people out and it has got to be tough when they don't have much info to give. It reminds me to not take it out on them, however, I will be doing work to try to get that free buy-back my way. ;)

Could always go over to the release thread and talk about all the release "news" you want. Or there are threads about the features and cases. Just because there isn't any BB news doesn't mean things have to slow down across the board.

To keep on topic, I just received a $40 BB rewards gc so now I'm thinking if I can finagle the free buy back program that maybe I'll got to BB (I don't currently have a preorder).

we should find out in about 8hrs or so, can't remember what time they released the press release for the XOOM last week
 
I signed up for verizon service on the 21st through best buy, the guy told me I got thirty days to exchange the phone if I wanna get any other one. I dont know if he was bullshitting me, but now I am worried if I exchange it do I straight up exchange up my phone or do I have to pay off contract price after 14 days if I wanna switch my phone.

14 days your locked into verizon. but you still have 30 days for the phone and if you dont like it you can return it and get another one for the discounted price..

I work at 5a today till 2pm (blech...)

I'll be tracking the news on my Incredible via Twitter and then check the interweb on break.

when i found out about the XOOM's release date officially announced, it was during my break time (which was around 8am EST) so it was either announced before then or around the same time as my break period

even if they don't release it this week, they can still announce the date today or sometime shortly to shutup the masses from asking them the release date LOL

Incredible had the same hype if not more last year, even had a similiar teaser site, then they added the date to that same teaser site when it was updated with the droid branding, 19th pre-orders started, and then they shipped the next day or two to those pre-order peeps (we all received them about 3 days before launch) then Verizon officially started to sell it on the 29th of April, which it sold out in less than a day, then the supply issues hit causing back order after back order after back order for half a year, (hence why HTC switched from AMOLED to SLCD screens)

Thanks, are you definitely sure about that? I hope that is the case, that means that i got until march 21st to get thunderbolt if I wanted to, I was worried that after 14days I might have to pay full price for the phone if I wanna return the phone I got. I got an iphone just to try it out until thunderbolt comes out and if if didn't I was just gonna keep it and use the buyback to get another phone later. I needed a phone so I got tired of waiting, i placed my preorder on the thunderbolt on the 7th thinking it was coming out on the 14th.

Thanks appreciate the help.
 
Whats sad is that this suspenseful hype and constant forum checking will be the best thing to come of this phone. When we finally get our beloved Tbolts we wont give 2 sh*ts a few weeks later anyways. Screw it, what am I saying BRING ON THE THUNDER!!!!!!!!!!!

My friend has that and I didn't wanna end up being stuck with the incredible, the battery life sucked on it. He is always complaining about it, but otherwise the phone is nice though.
