Yes there are Warm Z nightlies that usually come out each night however not every night. Since Myn is constantly working on his ROMs he make changes sometimes small others large and sends them out in the form of nightlies to the beta testers. Hope I answered your question.

Are you no longer running Warm Z as your daily Mr. Ed? I was looking at Kings Rom trying to find an answer for my data governor problem. Or is something wrong with your phone? I hope everything is well in Texas! Hey while I have your attention... Any idea why whenever I flash ANY form of the Data Governor zip (I have tried three) I always get stuck in the boot animation loop? I have been on the nightlies so I don't know if that is my issue. I have posted at least twice on XDA on the Warm Z thread. No answers yet. I have done the ##3282# trick but I just can't get the data governor zip to work. Oh yeah I used 0 and 0 not 0 and 0.0.0.0 I can't remember but i thought I saw a suggestions to just use 0 instead of 0.0.0.0 in the last proxy spot? I didn't have any problems when I was on Warm Rls5. Thanks for your time, take care.

before the release of each version...
Myn has beta releases.. for beta testers to find bugs..
he release these betas every night (almost) before the final release. they are called .. nightlies.

unless you are a beta tester for myn.. you will not see the nightlies..
so it is not a concern for the public.

Did you clear cache and dalvik. You might to need to also flash:

Calkulin's Format All - Flash prior to flashing ROM. It will wipe everything for you including /system, which normal data wipes skip (they only wipe /data and /cache)

warm Z has the new sense..
and the new sense has more animation.. and i think has some hardware acceleration services... so it should look and feel faster for the animations.

running apps .. it should not be a difference, because they are both 2.2 foryo

What's strange is Warm Z seems to have some kind of memory leak or something. After opening and closing a lot of apps or trying to multitask it seems like the phone will lock up/freeze or just reboot. Looked around xda and a few users report the same issue but doesn't seem to be a fix. Never had that issue with Warm 2.2

Reasons:
1. No LED notification. I am addicted to this as I only check my phone at work if I see the blinking LED.
2. Sometimes I have to lock/unlock my screen randomly to make my Touch Input work. (happens often)
3. 3G connection drops and does not return without a reboot randomly. I have tried with and without 'Mobile Network Always On'
4. Random Force Closes often.
5. 3G was terrible. I couldn't do Youtube without long and often pauses. I use Youtube way too much with this. It works fine with 2.2RLS5.
6. Random reboots for seemingly no reason
7. Battery life - Couldn't find a kernel to impress me near the Netarchy SBC 2.2more HAVS + RLS5



I'll be sure and return to WarmZ b/c it seemed like the best ROM in the market minus it's problems.

5. it is slow.. like other ROMs.. i am thinking this is sprint
6. after full wipe and full clean reflash; and reload of apps... i have not seen 1 -5.. but it is only been 2 days.

I hear ya. This ROM is awesome when everything works but it seems like recently I've been encountering more and more issues.

1. My LED does not work at all. I have flashed the ROM twice just trying to mess with this issue I have also made sure the correct options are selected. I've cleared data, batt stats, cache, dalvik, used Caulkins.
2. Yea, randomly I'll turn my screen on and cant do anything. I have to lock/unlock.
3. Some guys were complaining about this earlier and I downplayed the problem. Well, I was struck with it. Haha.
4. Yea, I can't blame it on anything specific. Just see it happen at odd times. One is specifically a com.htc.bg FC (the most common) but I know it is due to a specific item I have frozen in TB. I can't remember what it was exactly b/c I had the issue on my first ever Root and fixed it.
5. This has nothing to do with Sprint. I have no problems with Youtube or 3G in my area. It currently works as necessary on RLS5. I should have also noted this happens on WIFI also. Further making me think the ROM is having a hangup somewhere. (OR APP)
6. The reboots have been brought to a minimal experience since I have reflashed after using Amon RA to flash it the last time. The problem I have is that I have to keep going back in forth b/w recoveries b/c of where my Nands are set up lol.

I'll be sure to return to this ROM in the near future. I just want to let him get a little further in the process. I'm sure WarmZ RLS2 will have a shit ton of goodies.

Still no workie!! :-(
Goes into recovery and takes seconds to install which is not normal. No error message. I might try to re-download the rom and try a previous version of clockwork.

Ok that actually did it. Previous version of clockwork took care of the issue. After seeing the nice intro.

I am running kings latest right now. I don't seem to be able to track anything down phone related so at this point I don't think it is my phone. I also try some wierd and crazy experiments so I am sure that plays part.

as for data gov...I have been having issues with the two version I have (rsl5 version and z version...I don't know if there is a difference...but there are two)

I found on z it was not needed.

the solution to restoring the data profile was to
nand back up z
flash to another sense nand that you ahve done it on
nand back to z

my biggest problem with it is exactly that. it doesn't multi task well..thins start closing, and lagging.


Haven't completely given up on z...but I want to see an update other than nightlies before I flash it again.

I'm trying to follow along this thread as best I can. I'm a little apprehensive considering some of the issues that people are having. Combine that with the fact that 4G is yet to be functional and I just can't bring myself to trying it out yet. Looking forward to RLS2 with a handful of fixes, even if I have to go without 4G for a taste of it.

well..I'll throw in another tip I have learned .... wipe 3 or 4 times....and don't rely on just the format all or your recovery. do both , do them twice, and then most devs are including a format all in the zip as well.

I have had less issues since doing that.

I think it might have been someone else. I usually use ROM Manager to flash between the different recoveries. But I use the actual recovery to flash the rom. I don't use ROM Manager to flash roms. There's a fix for the front facing camera. Search this thread for caulkina from facing camera fix.

Do you suggest a different kernel when flashing this rom?

ok, just downloaded a fresh zip file, wiped both parts 3x, to no avail... i got the install failed message again. dunno what im doing wrong restoring right this moment, so i guess ill await suggestions from those of you in the know and perhaps bored enough to reply

Hey gang. Stevcha, you're rocking hardcore over here buddy. Great job.

Anyways, I read through this thread and see a few things that I'd like to address/confirm. The nightly URL is sent out to Beta testers, yes. To become one of these, just simply pm myn over on XDA and he'll eventually get to you. Whether he accepts you or not, that is his choice. Also, he picks people who contribute on his thread. Unlike previous versions of 2.2 Rls X, the nightlies are continuing to build each night at 1 AM. This incorporates any changes myn or incubus adds to the ROM but some days there are no changes. So, the beta testers can play with some new stuff, but the official RLS 1 is a stable release.

Next thing, as Mr. Ed above mentioned, wipe everything! 4 or 5 times! Reason? Different base ROM (Spint 3.70 Evo vs T-Mobile Desire Z) will utilize different internal files and folders, and any lingering files from an EVO rom can potentially mess with Warm Z stability. Not to mention that this is a Sense 2.0, versus Sense 1.0 of our Evos. I guarantee that about %90 of all problems are user errors regarding wipe.

To properly wipe, boot into Recovery. [I recommend amon_RA Supersonic v2.2.1 or v2.3. I hear Clockwork has had kinks in wiping cache or Dalvik. Regardless, use amon_RA. There are more benefits then downside. Stability being one of them.]
Wipe Factory data reset
Wipe cache
Wipe cache
Wipe dalvik
Wipe dalvik
Back track to main menu
Flash from zip
Toggle verification off
Flash Calkulin's format-all
Flash it again
Why not, flash it again.

Flash myn's warm Z (make sure you have a good download - another source of problems)
Reboot.

Although this may seem like a lot of steps, this will prevent further troubleshooting I promise. I have been using this exclusively since February 02 when the first nightlies were released with minimal Problems. Here are the only problems you should be experiencing if you've done everything correctly:

4g (no support on any Z or HD ports)
HDMI (once again, no support for any Z or HD ports)
Front facing Camera Issue (but fixable I hear - I don't use front camera so I just ignore it)
Dial Pad touch tone (fixable if you read OP)
Voicemail Issues (regarding this, I only experienced trouble the first time I did a clean install. I received four text messages from Sprint in a row. Since then, no text messages)


Other than those few, this ROM is super stable. Most people live in non-4G zones so it is okay, maybe not acceptable, but okay. Who really uses HDMI? Now, it is a cool feature, don't get me wrong, but really? I still need to check out orrebamas HDMI out apk. I have it downloaded but just no time. Sorry for the long post, but please save yourselves some time and do things correctly the first time.

Are you using THIS LINK when downloading? Are you on Clockwork Recovery 3.xx? Either downgrade or flash amon_RA (recommended). Bad downloads and wrong recoveries are two of the main problems flashing roms other than wiping. But you wiped, try one of these other solutions.
