I'm curious...

What do you love about Velocity?

What do you hate about it?

What would you do to make it better?

:D

I love the speed of it :D

I hate that with Velocity 1.0 the battery dies a lot quicker than with stock 2.2 (may just be my phone? & I'm not overclocking)

I didn't even notice that Valkerie.

I love the speed and overall feel of velocity. I also love the OTA scripts and functionality of them.

The one thing that has bugged me was the camera issue. I would use the camera button and it would reboot but I did a fresh install. Took care of that issue.
Also, wired tether doesn't like to work on my mac. Works fine on the windows comp but for not on my mac.

Same here it seems to be that my bad is kind of worse. And also for some reason sometimes when i make calls i cant end them so i have to restart my phone which is a pain.

BUT i love the speed and smoothness

Love the improved speed, but it seems to be getting slower on my phone.. :( But anyway, a suggestion?
More...awesome.
O wait. Impossible.
I... I can't think of anything to fix. You did a great job. :D

My battery must be godly cause I have insane battery with V1.0. Usually lasts from 8 a.m to 2 a.m. Thats with 800 OC(806 i believe) and avid texting!

Nothing wrong with velocity it beets stock 10 times infinity. My personal thanks for making the year I have to wait for an upgrade decent.

Ill look into wired tether on osX tomorrow, try enabling tether on the phone and plugging it in before you power on the fruit.

As Mac is based off BSD now it may need to look for new connections durring init. With the Mac powered on and the phone plugged in trying to tether try issuing the "ifconfig" command from the terminal. I dont remember if you need to run it as root or not, most likely not.

What do I love about Velocity? Performance, speed, UI, easy customization, easy use of terminal, integrated tethering apps (which work VERY well I might add), stability, backgrounds... just about everything.

What do I dislike about it? The ugly grey velocity boot logo (not animations, they are awesome), apps2sd causes problems for me... maybe just my phone, stagefright issues such as choppy video playback, presence of "3G Mobile Hotspot" in the drawer,

What would I do to make it better?
Add:
Option to change boot logo, ability to change clock font color, ability to change system font color, ability to customize pull down bar text (where it says "Velocity"), ability to toggle external LED color, more precise battery status in notification bar... perhaps 10% increments, or even 1% :) <3

Change:
Resolve stagefright video issue if at all possible, battery life tweaks (because you can never have enough battery life),

Remove:
Remove hotspot from drawer,

On a side note, I realize that the majority of my suggestions are simply cosmetic changes... but I would like to suggest a "Velocity Menu" in the main settings. I don't know if you are familiar with/have seen Liberty 1.5 for the Droid X, but there is a "Liberty Menu" in the main settings which allows quick menu-style changes to the roms custom options. I don't know if this is possible to do for us but it is a very convenient way to customize stuff, not to say that the terminal option isn't already nice.

Just my $.02

I love the scripts, the speed Its so much faster and leaner than stock. Its EXTREMELY stable. The wifi and wired tether. The wallpapers.
And probably the best part is the support from trident, savoxis, and getitnowmarketing. Every question ive seen velocity related has always been answered so quickly and all issues fixed.

The only things i could suggest is the velocity script being menu based and in settings but im more than happy with it being terminal based, a few more cosmetics listed above like color changes and the velocity screen previously the vzw splash. A week ago i would have said dalvik2cache options but you guys got that (except it resets after a wipe in recovery). and the paypal issue if possible

I go look in the velocity script thread and savoxis is already on the dalvik2cache issue listed above, like i said SUPPORT! Thanks!

I can't find a flaw one so far. I've only had it for a day or two. But so far amazing! Love how fast and responsive it is. Wish I could give sugjestions but honestly u all did a great job already.

I've been extremely happy with Velocity 1.0, Imo the best rom this phone has seen so far.

Things I would like to see changed, as some others have suggested, would be removing the "3g Mobile Hotspot" app as we already have a wifi teathering application.

Something cool to think about, though I'm unsure the amount of work it would involve, would be an inclusion of "Velocity Settings" in the settings application. Something similar to what cyanogenmod does. This could allow access to velocity's master script, as well as other ROM specific settings. Again, I'm not sure the amount of work it would require, however it would be an incredible add on to an already awesome rom.

After seeing how fast my friend's new Galaxy S phone was I was finally motivated to try and see what I could get out of my Ally. Velocity 1.0 was the reason I rooted my phone for the first time. I love the new speed and the OTA updates! I have noticed that my phone will sometimes reboot while I am transferring files over my home WiFi network when using ESfileexplorer. It never did that before Velocity. Also when returning to the homescreen it sometimes takes a little while for the icons to come up. Don't know what can be done to speed this up. Thanks for all your hard work on making the Ally awesome!

Only downside I'm experiencing is reboots and I'm not overclocked or anything. Sometimes I just slide out the keyboard, do something with the phone, then when I close it it turns off. Could be something else entirely unrelated to Velocity though.

Hmm i find the battery lasts way longer with wifi off. I love dalvik to cahce. Seems faster and more room. It would be nice to have more themes. It would be cool if someone would start replying to my IMs.

I still get preform... thats sorta buggin me for a reason. Anyways, i like that everythings in the terminal. But i would love more themes. Maybe include no clock mod in the next script update? I hate going back to recovery wipe cache dalvik cache and then doing it reboot. It wastes 15 min of my life =P.

Well Honestly there is not alot thats wrong with this masterpiece.
However the one thing I do HATE!!!!
is the Rebooting and losing all of my app icons. I then have to reboot again and they are back. So basically the SD card keeps acting as if it is being ejected. And of course it always happens at the worst moments. LOL

Anyway other than that its Awesome. :D
