What neat little things have you discovered on your T-Bolt?

I haven't rooted the phone. So it's not typical of an unaltered phone?

I noticed you can "change" the icons on the bottom of the native messenger... Even though there are no new icons and the 3 icons can't be removed only rearranged

I [finally] decided to give Youtube a spin on this beast of a phone... WOW.
On my Droid X, YouTube was TERRIBLE - even on Wifi. That phone did NOT know how to buffer! I would often sit with the video loading (even on Wifi), for a good 5 minutes - then it would play a few seconds, and freeze because it needed to buffer more.
Using the same Wifi connection as I did on my Droid X, the Thunderbolt didn't have to pause for one SECOND! I tapped on the video I wanted to watch, and BAM - it started playing in HQ INSTANTLY, and never paused to buffer.
I went through 5 Droid X replacements (Motorola SUCKS), and each one SUCKED with Youtube videos...

So, this may not be specific to the Thunderbolt - but this phone has completely changed the way I view Android.

Settings -> Sound -> Flip for speaker (why isn't this in the "Calls" category??)

That is already checked on my phone... still does not work...

I think one of the coolest things I've found is when on a phone call flipping the phone over will turn speaker phone one.

Have you tried flipping it over face down on a table top? I don't think it works by just flipping it over in your hand. That would probably cause it to change to speaker phone when you didn't want it to.

Yeah, someone mentioned that earlier, but I posted that it didn't work for me. And it's definitely "checked" in the settings. Oh well.

Try the G-Sensor calibration. Maybe your calibration is off. It is unders settings>Display Settings.

I cut an old pair of headphones to make it just the tip and I plugged it in the headphone jack then go to the fm radio app and click menu to get the radio to go threw the speaker.

Here's a neat one.... was trying out the Remote Desktop session to my workstation from the TB as described above. Well I was listening to music in Winamp as I connected, it stopped as expected and UNEXPECTEDLY started playing right on my TB ! That was pretty damn geeky neat !

And yes.. also verified that I have the SD card showing up under My Computer.. transfers to that were zippy indeed.

Also using the Xtralogic Remote Desktop Client to get these results. Was worth the money for sure especially since I am an Engineer.

Had floating image loaded on my eris. It autoloaded to my TB. When I went to choose a live wallpaper, floating images showed up as an option. Now, pictures of my family and images of my beloved razorbacks float by as my live wallpaper.

I found the Genie Widget .apk in another forum. Downloaded it, emailed it to myself, opened the email on my phone, clicked "Install".

I could have sworn that I wasn't able to install an app like that using my Atrix or Captivate.


Edit: I'm non-rooted.

Never noticed if the Inc did this-- I got rid of mine a long time ago, but When on the home screen press home again and it will bring up the tile mode. The Inc definitely did have this feature, but i discovered the other day that when in this mode you can long press the homscreen tiles and rearrange whole home screens. pretty cool.
