Yes, i've tried that, the cmd window says fastboot -w in the middle of the screen at the top, and below that it says < waiting for device > , it won't let me type anything into the window though. :(

Well I couldn't resiste the new 1.6. More becaue I wanted to see if I could do it successfully more than anything. I found out that I never installed ClockWorkMod recovery. After I got that installed the update was a breeze. You guys really are great.

A couple of quick (and possibly stupid) questions:

First, I can't see in all the phone info in setting where it says 1.6. I thought it noted that somewhere in 1.5, but I can't seem to find it.

Secondly, I thought there was a setting where you can tell it when WIFI has priority, but now I can't find that setting either.

Lastly, is swap worth doing for just normal everyday phone usage? I don't really play game or have any memory issues. Plus is swapper and set cpu things you download from the marker?

Thanks again.

Also I forgot, I noticed that 3G was not working. Is that one of the things that will not work with this mod?

Should I do a backup first? and if yes, which one? (regular restore or advanced)

no need for backup just putthe update zip on ur sdcard then boot into recovery and select update zip from sd card install and reboot and ur updated :)

is there any difference between 1.5 and 1.6?

and I selected apply update from sdcard but it said can't open /sdcard/update.zip. Installation aborted.

+ Dudeman1996 said to backup first.

it would b safest to backup first i just dont see d point since its so straight forward

delete it from sd card an copy it back on dont extract it to sd put it on as a zip

sensors are fixed
some tweaks for smother operation
fault with fm radio (plays trew speaker not headphones)

ment to be fix soon for fm radio

I selected apply update from sdcard but it said can't open /sdcard/update.zip. Installation aborted.

I believe it was shown somewhere in 1.5. Maybe I was dreaming or something.

Somewhere in the wifi settings in 2.2 I believe there was a wifi setting that asked if you wanted 3g to override wifi or if you wanted wifi to stay on all the time if you are in range or if it would have to reestablish wifi everytime you unlocked your phone. I liked the middle choice because then you don't have to let wifi redo everytime you unlock.

I've set up the APN correctly and it connects to ATT's network but only in 2g mode, not 3g. So I was wondering if 3g or HDSPA works with this mod.

Thats what I thought on the swap thing. I don't really play any games so I'll just wait on that one.

I used the cyanogenmod cpu settings to 245 and 806 but I noticed in the swap instructions it said to use set cpu. But since I'm not goint to swap its a moot point anyway.

Thanks for the help!

I have one last question please:
I hope someone can help me.
I read that in 2.2 there is a taskkill that comes with the rom, the cyanmod 7 there is something about that? no way to kill processes or open programs no longer use with something that will bring the system?

thanks!

Do you mean Settings>Wireless & Networks>Wi-Fi Settings>Menu>Advanced Settings>Wi-FI Sleep Policy?

In Settings>Wireless & Networks>Mobile Networks is the 'Use 2G only' box checked?

Don't bother with swap if you don't play games that need more RAM, all it will do is degrade the life of your SD card
