Is there an app or any way to change the voltage to the cpu? It would help those people who cant use custom kernels and i want to be able to oc to 806mhz! That would be sweet.
No i AM running velocity with the custom kernel i just wanted to know if i could manually change the voltage, so that i could get a "custom fit" for our phones and not just a one size fits all setting. The only way to OC the Ally is to use a custom ROM such as Velocity 1.0 that supports it. Even then chances are your not going to be able to get 806Mhz stable out of it, but some will so good luck.
Why can't you use a custom kernel? just follow http://androidforums.com/ally-all-t...-3-2011-3-40-pm-est-now-easier-than-ever.html

Editing the voltage would require you to compile your own kernel. Good luck.

If only you could adjust it in a recovery, like you can on a pc's bios
Why can't choose your clock speed in velocity scripts, choose to set this frequency at boot, then make a Nand in recovery?
Hmmm. Your right it prolly would burn out in a few months. Anybody know how big the heatsink is / what it looks like? Lol if ours is small think about how small the itouches would be! 0_oHe wants to increase the voltage to the CPU, to obtain higher clocks, if you increase the voltage the Ally could possibly OC to as much at 900+ stable, but the cpu and battery would drastically be damaged, the cpu heatsink is tiny, and is barely efficient enough to handle what its at now, to do so would render the phone useless in just a month or two.
Dont do it, even if you find a way!
Lmao how pathetic. You know that dyson fan that doesnt use any blades? I think in the future they will use those as mobile hs fans maybe then we can get hex core phones running at 5ghz![]()
Yea but we already have copper and heatpipes or are you talking mobile devices. Those fans will get stronger over time, they dont make noise and i could see them being very efficient so maybe well see them maybe we wont it just depends on how they can pack it into a mobile phone and if theyre reasonable or not. Those fans dont put off alot of air,and in the future we will use a copper/trilithium composite to disipate heat along a heatpipe with fins on it

somebody OCd the ally to 960. its capable. but the hacked his way through with his own kernel and such.
Lol as long as that kernel doesnt break my phone before a year id use itsomebody OCd the ally to 960. its capable. but the hacked his way through with his own kernel and such.
Cant just change the voltage, would have to write alot of code, and change alot of other code, its not simple, and takes alot of experience, and we wont release something that we KNOW will kill a phone in a few months
