RC9 Update recieved 3am this morning in the UK

Paid apps are already being published... However we in the UK can't see them yet and if it works on the same timescale as the US, it'll be about another week and bingo....

So you're saying...the paid apps are there...but they are being hidden from u s?

Yes that has been the case for weeks. UK and US Dev's can submit their paid applications to Google marketplace but only people in the US are currently allowed to see and buy.

See the trend here peeps

Ohhhhh.....ok...

Fair enough....

Only trend I see here is...

US gets what the UK wants....
And then when the UK have forgotten about it...thats when we finally get it...

if you go to the google latitude page it's still showing the following

Google Latitude is a feature of Google Maps for mobile on these phones:
  • Android-powered devices, such as the T-Mobile G1 (coming soon)
  • iPhone and iPod touch devices (coming soon)
  • most color BlackBerry devices
  • most Windows Mobile 5.0+ devices
  • most Symbian S60 devices (Nokia smartphones)
  • many Java-enabled (J2ME) mobile phones, such as Sony Ericsson devices (coming soon)

So the G1 is an Android phone done by Google, but they can't supply the software for it yet, but other devices not based on Android already have it.

Now wouldn't you think for a phone they collaborated with they would actually put the new features on that phone before other phones

update - the simtoolkit is listed in the list of applications under 'application management' but you can't access it, nor is it listed in the main apps
