Root Rom Zero for 2.2.1 4/5/2011

I got kind of bored so I went ahead and made this.
disclaimer this rom may turn you into a vegetarian dwarf, make your cat pass out, or turn your phone into a decepticon. I take no responsibility.
What's it include:
myfaves gallery
sense clock
new ringtones /notifications
adw launcher as default home
removed all metro bloat
new shared uid

How to flash:
download the rom
Place the rom and onto your sdcard
reboot into recovery wipe everything you can
flash the rom
reboot
enjoy

Problems with downloading or flashing the rom
If you got any problems flashing or downloading the rom or have multiple mistakes downloading and still to this day you can't figure it out (you know who I'm talking to yes I'm talking to you really) Get a simpler phone cuz smart just ain't your style. :D

Changed the shared uid with my new keys so that they don't match the keys in my auto resigner.
New honycomb/blue ui
completely de-odexed (will probably odex when complete)
removed bookmarks except for google but added android forums general and all things root

Put the latin ime back in per andyo70 request
put gapps back into rom

in the recovery you can disable verify signature it is the option in the flash zip menu
 
looks like its stuck on a boot screen loop with bluish-purple hexagons.

im going to restore my phone, let me know if anyone else gets this issue

I dont think its stuck, the first boot just takes an abnormally long time. mine booted up and seems exactly the same, except for the 3d gallery, which appears to run super slow, though that may change as the read ahead is improved

I was hoping for an overclock ability but it seems with this one as of yet its not there.
 
I was just wondering if I have this phone rooted on 2.2 and am running RomZeroFinal is this safe to flash?
Or do I have to go thru flashing stock 2.2.1 and going thru the whole process??

Better safe than sorry.

any help would be great

Honestly I would stick with rom zero final as it's capabilities are currently better.

True such as the ability to overclock the cpu. That seems to be the big one but I believe there are other small differences.
One thing I went back to the team chicken eater rom this one seems laggy for some reason.

I love this rom alot better. I finally got it to work. And you can overclock this no problem.

Could you tell me what you did to enable overclocking? and what you used to overclock it?
I tried with setcpu and it would not go past 600mhz no matter what settings I tried to apply.
 
I love this rom. If anyone gets a boot screen loop the first time just try it again. Thank you asadullah!
 
This is where "conservatism" comes in. And, I am not talking about geriatric traditionalism either. I am saying that if your hosts file isn't broken, don't update it. I would conserve that understanding for the rest of your life. What gains will you get by updating something that does not need updating? What could you lose?

TeamChickenEater is a good ROM. I will check it out when it gets the same capabilities that ROM Zero had. ChickenEater just ran smoother for me, though slightly smoother. But, I like the capabilities of ROM Zero and I am willing to endure a few bumps at startup.

BTW, I suggest everyone get autostarts. I had like 30 programs all starting up that I thought I had disabled from doing that. It removed some of the bumps and let Set CPU and SD Card Boost set Su sooner.

My main problem is apps loading from teh SD card fast enough. I'm on a class 4 with my cache at 2048 or whatever it is. I'm looking into a class 5 or 6.

I'm not sure what's up with gps right now. I think I got an idea. What I'm gonna do is take some fresh 2.2.1 images and redo them. Then send them to some beta testers for a couple days to make sure everything is working correctly. Plus add some new ui.
Please don't ask to beta test. I've already got my email list for the beta testers. You may be on it and don't know I'll tweet when it's been sent.
 
trying Rom.

Question. If I unsign to flash the rom... do I resign it after i'm done. And If not... what happens if I do/don't?

Do I use the same recovery to flash the Gapps?

Currently continually displays the splash screen(correct me if i'm wrong cause I don't know what that img is call) for honeycomb. Doesn't go any further, but I never flashed the Gapps. gonna try that now.

Still get just the initial splash screen. Any thoughts?
