Help kings gingerbread R1-no gps

1) Kings GB is actually up to R2, so if you like, go a head and flash that.
2) GPS not working is a known issue for AOSP GB ROMs. Go ahead and take a look at this thread. You will find the GPS fix on the first page, a few posts down. It involves making a nandroid backup, flashing a Sense ROM, then restoring your backup.

For future reference, you might want to post stuff like this in the root section :). Let me know how it goes, or just post in the main thread, there.

Did you make sure to connect to a few satellites while on a Sense ROM, then leave it on before shutting down to restore Kings? Silly question, but did you try actually going outside?

while it was on the sense rom i had the location on...then i restored tried it from inside my house and came up....when i was out(wen i really needed it) it didnt work....tried it again from my house and it worked...this is weird lol

That's definitely strange. What app were you using? Did you try an actual GPS test app?

Are you connected to wifi inside? If so it is using the network
I found today that even when GPS test shows no satellites being used mine was still working fine

Definitely could be specific to that app. I want to say I have seen other posts from folks having issues with it. What is so special about it I have only used Google nav
