Root [ROM][WIP] CM6-Ascend (CyanogenMod 6) Current: 04212011 (Cricket/MetroPCS MMS WORKING!)

okay so first i want to say thanks. but, this is my first time flashing a rom. so i want to know if the the metro pcs mms works/and how to get it to work. as i said this is my first time with the whole flashing roms. so i kind of need it simple. lol.

ok. Playfulgod and nuttmeg are both on MetroPCS as I myself have cricket. You'll have to get with one of them. Or maybe pip or isaac can help?

okay thanks. also i read the link you posted and downloaded everything and did what it said. so i hope that works also i forgot to say i will be flashing to cm7. hoping things go well. but i dont know if the mms fix is in the nightly release version that is dated 041632011. or if i have to download it somewhere else?

that one is fixed. NO NEED to go anywhere else for anything else to do with ms. Download the nightly (041632011) and you should be fine (cricket)

if i have any problems i'll try to contact someone here. i just hope everything goes smooth lol.
 
metropcs users should reboot into recovery, wipe, front to back and back to front, flash the rom, then gapps. reboot into cm6. reboot into recovery. flash xda metroff mms fix. reboot into cm6. be happy

cricket users should reboot into recovery, wipe, front to back and back to front, flash the rom, then gapps. reboot into cm6. be happy.

i wont spoon feed you. i dont know about cm7. im just the developer for cm6. cm6 only. you need to read the post bro. then follow the link to the wiki and read that . all of it. then your questions will be answered.
 
hey pip got a question for you...about the bootstrap.ogg to have startup sound, which is no biggie but would the prop.build have to be edited like on the icarus rom?

I was reading last night as I was changing the bootanimation :D to another CM7 one, I read that to play the sound theres a line needed in the desc.txt in the bootanimation.zip. Dunno if this is true but I read it somewhere.

Pip you prolly know the dude who did the bootanimation I used, he did the DarkGinger theme for another phone. Man I wish that theme would work on the ascend lol
