I was reading last night as I was changing the bootanimation :D to another CM7 one, I read that to play the sound theres a line needed in the desc.txt in the bootanimation.zip. Dunno if this is true but I read it somewhere.

dude search the xda or cyanogenmod forums for darkginger n check that one out lol

I had to edit the desc.txt for the resolution and it is sweet lol

I tried to resize all the images to 320x480 but it wouldnt work then for some reason, so just editing the desc.txt worked lol

not sure what you did. the rom works with cricket mms. i had a VERY reliable source test that for me this morning. you do not need to do anything after flashing the ROM. just flash rom, gapps, be happy.

and thats exactly what i did

i wiped everything
flashed april 16 build and gapps

... still not able to send pic messages... my wife is about to kill me, lol

not sure what to tell you, you havent done something correctly. it works. like i said a mod on another forum double tested that for me.

have you tried reflashing with a fresh download. cm6 mms works on cricket 5/5 cricket users i know on cm6 have confirmed by sending to my metro on cm7
 
yeah i downloaded it today

the real frustrating part is that my ONLY internet connection is a tethered connection through my phone, and i've hit my cap so i get download speeds of about .1 mbps (so each rom takes about an hour to dl)

i will probably have to wait until next weekend to get the time to take a stab at this again



thanks again to all of you who have been working on this rom and helping the rest of us, much respect!
 
so i'm thinking maybe when i'm restoring apps/ data w/ titanium backup and its restoring something that is preventing me from sending the mms... maybe/???
 
Anyone with Metro getting the "Roaming Indicator Off" message after flashing the 04162011 CM6? I followed the instructions, wiped everything and installed the 3 zip files from SD. First time I rebooted, the message was there.
 
yeah, its there but not an issue for me... the performance improvement more than makes up for that! :)
 
What about Apps2SD, it seems like I used to have more RAM available on Icarus than what I have with CM6. And, I haven't installed that many apps. Do you know of an easy way to find out if Apps are indeed going to SD?

Icarus moved all apps even if they were not intended to be run off the sd card. CM6 will only move the ones that are intended to be run off the card, i believe you can force some by just going to applications and checking there to move any that are still on the phone, but some will not work properly if you push them there so if you notice them acting up just move them back.

what did you do? I am having the same problem. My roommate sent me a picture and I got it, but I am unable to send any out, and my uncle sent me a picture, and I can't download it.

nothing.. just flashed the newest rom build and gapps...

my problem came when i used titbu to restore things on my phone... i wasn't paying attention and was restoring old mms data, which fugged up the fix i guess.

so i just didn't restore anything that had to do w/ mms in the batch restore w/ titbu
