Is your phone dead due to not charging it? If not, then download it through your phone :D

Hello,

I tried to achieve this for a long time but i couldn't get it done.

I'm running a MIUI rom on my Desire HD. I tried pushing the systemui.apk to my device, but it didn't work. Then i tried to change some files in my own original systemui.apk but that didn't work eiter, i'm getting FC.
But if you could tell me what file you edited and what you changed i can try to mod my own systemui.apk. I would really appreciate that :D

I'm not following something here. Why is it difficult to remove the clock on the status bar on a Droid X? I'm not a tech expert, by any means, but I know that Ultimate Droid has had a feature in his roms for quite awhile which permitted the user to do just that - and it was like turning off a light at the wall switch. I realize that his roms were not written for the DX (although, he seems to have written them for everything short of refrigerators and microwave ovens), but is there that much difference in the DX clock as opposed to the Droid1 and all the rest?

-Mike

I'm guessing you are Overloaded from xda, so I answered you over there ;)

I don't think it's anymore difficult, it's just that on Gingerbread the usual place to remove the clock was changed (compared to Froyo), so people (including myself) didn't know exactly where to look to make the edit, but I now know :D

UPDATED first post:

Added clock removal and clock addition zip files for newest leak v4.5.591, for both Stock GB and BWC themed GB.

Note, I haven't uploaded BWC theme yet, but I will some time today.

ahhh i didnt log onto twitter last night so i didnt see it

hopefully he hasnt tweet happy today so i can find it with ease and implement it in

i dont get any at work :p my office is sitting underneath Radiology in the hospital so there is no such thing as cell phone service, thats why airplane mode is my best friend.

there needs to be an app for when no signal is found within 5 minutes the phone turns airplane mode on automatically for 1 hour, then tries to reestablish 3g connection and if it cant within another 5 mins back to airplane mode for another hour. i can almost guarentee that it will save battery life.
but thats getting deep into the system of android to implement that, and if i was good at writing code (im going to go to college for) then i would do it.

you know bouchigo, you should develop a rom one day, with your skill im sure it would be amazing!

I'm sure I am the only one... I always am... But I have one minor issue. It didn't just simply remove my clock. It removed my entire statusbar. :(

Edit: UGH... Let this serve as a warning to others: Do NOT use the .591 file if you are running 5.88.

Double edit - That had nothing to do with it. I guess I just cant use it. :(

Of course I am. ;)

EDIT: OK, I have it narrowed down to a problem with either Metamorph... or the metamorph process. The no-clock mod works only if I don't want to change anything else about the statusbar.

Any way you can share how you removed the clock so I can try to make it fit my needs?
