Root [ROM] [5.7.11] BAMF Stripped BETA v1.1 - **UPDATED**

I'm running it. I usually run the nte's, but I like this version a lot. I'm not a fan of the taskbar icons, which is why I usually ran nte, but I can easily change that in the kitchen. I always flashed the desense zip on whatever version I was running so I'm used to a "stripped down" version, but this seems even quicker and more responsive.
 
id go ahead and flash it today... but i gotta get my cm7 fix,lol... it sucks the battery down to fast to use for too long,but running it for a couple days every now and then gives me the strength to continue on, on this great sense journey :D
 
I still haven't flashed CM yet. I want to wait until all the bugs are sorted before I give it a go. I'd hate to flash it now, have something not work properly and that be my first impression of CM on the TB, ya know? Plus, while I was a fan of it on my Inc, every time I ran it I always felt like I was missing something. I'd go back to a senseless build and all would be good. I wish I could put my finger on what it was that I missed, but I have no idea, it was something, though. Also, I was really disappointed in the battery life. No matter my settings/kernel I couldn't get more than 24 hours on CM, but reguraly went 48 on senseless. I'm sure Adrynalyne and/or Imoseyon will bang out a killer AOSP kernel very soon (at least I hope)
 
I've been flipping back and forth between remix 1.6.2 and this one. I usually don't do that but I just can't make up my mind. Nonetheless, I went back to 1.0 this morning and plan on staying with if for a while now. I got my batt mods and the red 4G icon back so I'm good to go. No snappy transitions but that's only eye candy. Did a dalvik / cache/ batt stats wipe this morning before flashing adryn's new 4.4.7 kernel so we'll see how it performs.
 
Kind of off topic, one thing I have noticed is Butch doesn't really stay on top of questions in his thread which is frustrating. I understand people have lives and familes, I guess I'm just used to Adrynalyne answering almost every question asked in his thread.

Don't think he wants to be on top of the Stripped thread honestly. He asked for a moderator or someone to help him and asked them to pm him about it. Think either he is mainly concentrating on the Remix or he might not be able to answer some of the technical non sense questions. Just my 2 cents.
 
allright guys,this is gonna sound a lil dumb,but how do i know i have stripped on my phone?! :eek: the lockscreen is the stripped lockscreen,but the build number is Das_Bamf_1.6_remix,and it looks like sense is a launcher option. ive got both on my sd card(obviously ;)) or there wouldnt be any question...

i dont have any htc widgets,but im just a lil confused cause ive got friendstream and footprints in my app drawer :confused:
 
Butch forgot to change the name, you're own stripped even if it says 1.6 remix. However, you shouldn't have a sense launcher, it was called "launcher2" on my phone when I ripped that sucker out. Thanks for the email, btw

Like Worm said, he forgot to change the build number.

Actually the first time I downloaded over 1.6.2 thru RM and everything didn't switch over. I still had the sense launcher myself. Reflashed thru CWR manually and everything worked. This was actually the first time i've had any issues flashing thru RM.
 
Also take a look at the wifi signal meter. If it's the new one then you're good to go. The dropdown is extremely transparent as well, which will be fixed in the next version. I also think it came with the 4.4.6 kernel which would show up as well.
PS. What the heck are you doing with 1.6 on your SD card? That's ancient history now. ;-) But as you noted, the lockscreen is the giveaway.

Now flash Adryn's 1.9c kernel. Smoking fast.

Stupid me, I don't have a clue yet how to set up any of this since I'm still a noob in the android world. It sucks because i'm going to be stuck with 4.4.7 unless I learn quick how to set these options manually.
 
thanx for the replies,fellas. i did figure out that it wasnt really the sense launcher,it was a themed aosp one. wtf? if i wanted it to look like the sense launcher id just use that,lol... but anyway i ended up goin back to my 1.6.2 backup as google frameworks kept force closing when i tried to sync contacts :mad:

anyone else had that prollem? ill prolly search thru the thread later tonight and give it another try. it was a clean install,BTW- wiped all,used clockwork(of course ;)) not sure what its doin...

you flash kernels in recovery just like you do roms. follow the developers recomendations,but usually you just wipe cache/dalvik cache to be on the safe side. since youre not wiping data you wont have to re-set up :)
 
Not sure scotty, that's weird. I was just about to say I did a clean install but realized that I never installed 1.6.3 remix. I went to stripped 1.1 and stayed there. Yeah, I'd def take a look at the thread to see if there are any issues.

You're not stuck with 4.4.7, it's a great kernel. No reason to flash another right now.

People had that issue with v1.0 if I remember correctly. Think he fixed it in v1.1 though. Just gotta set everything up thru 1.1 first, then flash the zip for the aosp contacts/dialer after google sync's and you should be good. At least thats how it went for me.

Yes, you are absolutely right, i'm not stuck because it is a great kernel. I just meant I can't venture further yet with the new ones implementing my own customization.:o:(
 
Don't feel bad, gregnice. Adrynalyne's new kernels give me a headache with all the voltage customizations and such and I've been around Android for a while now. I feel like a noob all over again with that friggin kernel :mad: Thank god Imoseyon makes awesome kernels, too (my favorite to be honest)

oops,looks like i had downloaded 1.0... that may explain it :o nothing to see here,move along...

downloading 1.1 and the dialer zip now :)

Yikes, looks like Imoseyon jumped the bandwagon and changed his kernels up too to make customized voltages.:eek:

I knew how to flash, it was just the customization of voltages that got me scared to try on my own. I'll use the Boston term for this one, Its wicked scary to try that on my own at this point. I need a guide to study for days I think.:mad: This is what my brain looks like trying to figure out that code for customizing your own voltages.:confused::eek::confused::confused::eek::confused:

Did he really???? I haven't been to xda yet today. I hope someone makes a tutorial or something. There's a lot of noobs running around and this could get them, and all of us who aren't fully versed in it, in serious trouble
