Any file transfer suggestions?

I'm tired of using my USB cable to make file transfers to and from my PC.

I want to do some wireless file transferring. Can anyone point me in a direction as far as to what is the easiest way to do this? Should I go the smb or FTP route?

And btw I will mostly be trading files with a windows vista machine. I had a heck of a time getting smb filezilla and vista to talk a couple months back.

Any suggestions? Thanks.

I use Tonido, you can either download files from your computer or upload them from your phone. It can even be used to transfer files between other computers.

My number 1 choice is Dropbox, number 2 is Samba.

Thanks for the suggestions. My number 1 is smb. But I think vista has it in for me.

I have dual boot of suse that my phone can pick up on the shares right away. But my home PC will have vista running all of the time unless I go boot it into suse. That's a pain. I might as well run an FTP.

I'd rather not use a third party software for simply sharing files.

Anyone been successful with smb and win7? Or vista? If I was a betting man, with 7 I would probably have no problems..

I use Dropbox. It integrates with so much stuff (Google Docs, Titanium Backup, etc) Definitely an awesome choice.

Frenchy, unless I missed something, setting up a samba in vista is possible but its more work than I want to do. I'm tired of having to make simple things work in vista. Smb wouldn't budge.

Bummer. Like I mentioned in my previous post, never attempted to make Samba work w/ Vista....
