Just a quick warning to those thinking about switching to Sprint; DON'T DO IT!
I was with AT&T for at least 10 years and switched to Sprint last year for the EVO.
Obviously reception for various carriers is different all over the country so if you happen to live in an area that has awesome Sprint coverage and don't travel you're probably safe.
But for the most part, Sprint's network sucks beyond belief and has actually gotten worse in my area. Traveling has proven to be no different. Horrible.
The EVO is a great phone but the battery life situation and Sprint's horrible service makes it virtually unusable if you are a business professional who uses your phone a lot and needs reliable network service.
I lost my unlimited plan when I left AT&T for the EVO and Sprint.
My advice is don't leave a network you're satisfied with for a phone. Find the best phone your current network has and go with it until a new or better one comes along.
I cannot curse Sprint enough.
