Root [ROM] GB-CMod7-Beta

is that a smiley?

On 768, you're in familiar company. I stay at 748. 768 begins to have random freezups/reboots--a few a day. 748 is fine. Some of us don't pass 729, while some of us go over 800.

Yeah, its a smiley face. Guilty.
That sounds about right for me. I get crashes on performance so I just put on userspace, and it works great

I would get reboots while scrolling rapidly back and forth through long lists (where icons had to load etc) and i had the setcpu governor set to on demand. i didnt notice any observable difference between the two speeds anyway.

First post here guys. I currently have my OPtimus M running CM7 and using setCPU to ondemand OC up to 726. I Have applied reppards MMS fix as well. I am still having an issue with the USB mass storage. I cannot seem to be able to connect my device and to the computer and see it as removeable storage. I tried using the MultiMount program and I even purchased it so I could use the auto un-mount feature. Can anyone help me with what settings I should check or maybe there is something obvious I might be missing. Thanks in advance.

You need to make sure that you have the LG drivers installed on your computer in order for your computer to see your phone and for you to be able to access the sd card. Just google LG Optimus M driver or go to the metro site and select your phone under phones and look for downloads. It should work after that.

Before custom ROMing my phone USB mass storage worked fine. I even have the Android SDK installed. Is it something with the the file structure after the ROM flash?

Yes and again nothing happened. I am currently reinstalling the LG drivers just to be sure.

I know a couple times my pc didn't recognize my phone it worked through recovery but, I have had one time where I had to dl the drivers again. If you do redownload the drivers be sure to reboot you computer before you plug in your phone.

Mad props go to you thank u for this rom its awesome my apps run smoother and faster with hardly no lag, my lg optimus m is completely something else now. i ran the bench mark and im registering 1586! big improvement and also its better than HTC wildfire and Hero so big ups!! i wanted to let u know that i will be donating soon so be on the look out. and keep up the good work. looking forward to future roms and or updates
:D have a good one.

try uninstalling your drivers unplugging your phone, then download pdanet to your pc and run the install, it will ask you to plug in your phone and it auto installs driver. Seems to fix any usb issues I get with several different android phones.

Thanks everyone. AFter reinstalling LG drivers on my computer and reflashing my phone just to be sure, everything works now. Now to load it up with some sweet themes.

Also My GPS seems to work but it takes a while to locate me. Is this normal with this ROM.

Ok sorry if this has already been covered in the thread but is there a way to restore to the stock rom, I installed cyanogenmod on my brothers optimus M but seeing as how I have a Droid 2 I'm not familiar in how to restore Lg phones. On Motorola phones you have to use an Sbf, is their anything similar to that for the optimus M? And before someone asks, yes I did make a nandroid backup but in the process of partitioning the sd card I somehow lost the file, even though the rest of the sdcard was backed up on my computer lol

You have a few choices, you can go with one of the other 2.2.1 roms out there, just download them to the sd card and go into the custom recovery, I am assuming you have that as you were able to instal the cm7 install new rom just like you did the cm7

You need to make sure you boot the rom atleast once before you flash the fix.

First time I flashed the fix was right after I booted the rom for the first time should I reflash everything again boot then flash the fix again? I really don't want to have to do all that and have to reinstall my apps and stuff

Works really well. Thanks all. I cant wait for the official LG release of 2.3.3. One question. Will i be able to update to the retail lg 2.3.3 if i installed CM7 when it comes out or do i have to download the rom off here?
