Root [BETA]Cyanogen!! Landed!!! :) Go get it![Updated 7/12/2011]

18 is sucking for me as well. Lots of errors, terrible battery. In the stock browser, the enter button to the right of the text window says "Error inflating widget" rather than Go/Enter. Never even heard of that before haha.

I have seen no problems with #18. Only installed it a few minutes ago but have seen none of the issues you guys have.
Came from #15
d/l from Rom manager
Wipe dalvik
Manual install via CWR
Flash gapps
Flash camera/video fix

Only issue I have is LPP force closes on reboot but that issue has been present for me since installing cm7.

I have to agree with Woodstorm, I jumped from #15 to #18 also but i didn't wipe dalvik or cache. Nor did i flash gapps again and everything is working great. I've noticed a little less lag overall. I'm not 100% sure but i don't think its necessary to flash gapps after each nightly(someone correct me if i'm wrong).

And Steven, i was in your shoes for a while with regards to the stability and beta nature of CM but now it is absolutely incredible on my phone. I have been able to ditch the overclock app and run a stock speed because the performance is that good. At least for me. I did miss the blur camera for a min or two but i found Vignette in the market and it blows the blur camera out of the water.

I didn't flash gapps either going from #15 to #18 but I did wipe dalvik it's been a half hour and already down to 90% with the phone being idle.

Paznos,
Did you wipe your battery stats also? When I flash a new nightly, I always try to have my phone fully charged and then wipe battery stats.

Ah nope I didn't wipe the battery stats just the dalvik cache, the last time I wiped my battery stats was when I installed #15 a few days ago.

Did not wipe battery, just dalvik. I flash gapps every time. Doesn't hurt and it ensures that there are no issues.

Just out of curiosity why do some people install gapps again and wipe dalvik cache after each nightly. Is there an added benefit do doing this. I have not wiped dalvik since the first install of cm7.

Another case where ALPHA code is called BETA.

Beta means full feature set with only minor bugs.

Love CyanogenMod 7.1 on my tablet, but I'll be waiting for a RC before installing this on my X. :D
Roger that!
CM7 has such a list of possibilities, but as for now, there are too many missing items for my liking. The devs are doing a ton of work and have already pretty much done the "impossible", but as colchiro said, this should have been called an alpha, not a beta.

I have been running #18 since this morning. I am having no problems, battery life is not as good, but I have found it usually takes a day for it to settle down. When I say not as good it looks like I will get 12 hours instead of 20+ hours.

I have flashed the camera/camcorder fix and it is great. With this fix now my phone is doing everything that I need it to. I am very happy and there are no plans to go back to stock or any other Rom at this point as this is the best on out there right now on Gingerbread IMHO.

It seems everyones phone is different as with every Rom I have been on people have seemed to have issues and other have no issues so I don't think CM7 is any different.

Im quite happy with Cm personally, we were given the list of what is wrong before you flashed :)

Im very happy to even had the opportunity to experience CM and can wait for the full features, even though they have everything i need already :)

But it does have the full feature set doesn't it? the only difference is the Camera/Camcorder doesn't work from source and the battery life isn't as good as stock Gingerblur, other than that I haven't encountered anything else wrong.

Now if the Wifi, GPS, and several other things weren't working then i'd agree with you.

^^This... I'll be back. I just need a touch more stability. :)

No issues with nightly number 18. Thanks for the cam/vid fix!

I wish the issue of when you have a voice mail, and you happen to click on clear from the notification bar, it clears the fact that you have a voice mail. Liberty ROM had this for awhile too. Hope this gets fixed at some point.

Wait. What? A video/camera fix? Where have I been? Are the pictures still grainy? ARE WE THERE YET? :p
