Having a higher rated fuse will do mostly nothing. Sure if you get a short in the wiring it'll blow 0.05 seconds later than the lower fuse, but that's about it. If there is a problem with whatever is on the end of the plug, then it'll get a bit warmer before the fuse blows that the lower rated one, but meh.

A fuse is just there to protect the cable and stop it being a fire risk.

Yeah it'll be next day it ships (well, today now) I ordered around the same time, and the thing sat at the checkout taunting me over night.
 
Any news on Tax and VAT bills from anyone? Ordered my N1 on the 6th and still got nothing from DHL...

Is it true that you don't get one if customs don't randomly open your box? I can't believe that to be right...
 
They wouldn't need top open the box, just read the paperwork on the front.

Just add 17.5% to whatever is on your bank statement and tack
 
Yeah, I know what it will be - just don't understand how they are sent out. I've seen a couple of people get theirs early and then nothing else.

I believe payment terms are 10 days which is a bit of a letdown.

Not had mine yet, ordered on the 8th. I'm not sure when it's going to land. Maybe take 4 weeks to process it? Hope it doesn't come at all :p.
I need to have a scour on other forums and see what folks are saying.
 
Last time I got something DHL'd from the US it took a month for them to bill me. I thought I was going to get away with it, then... BAM! big yellow envelope :(
 
Or prey they make a mistake... a DHL customs invoice arrived at my house the other day with some Chinese blokes name on it lol
 
Someone who works at DHL once posted here and said VAT invoices are sent out at the end of the month, so few days yet I hope. If not more.
 
Just for information... I placed my order on 7th. Nothing happened with it till the 12th when I got the DHL tracking number. Had it in my hands by 14th :D

Must've been on the same flight as mine. I ordered the night of the 8th and got it the 14th too. Has anyone worked out the optimum order time to receive the N1 in the shortest time? I could probably trawl through the posts in this thread and work something out but I am at work at the moment. I might do it later if I have time. It'd be nice to post it so that people in the UK can work out when best to order.
Is it weird that I'm thinking about this?
