Root [ROM] [R910] EXODUS 0.6 CWM or ADB script install

I can not receive MMS says downloading

Considering my ROM doesn't touch anything service related, I would suggested either checking your programming, or doing a PRL update. Make sure your SID matches the city area or state you live in. To update prl you do *228 option 5, option 1. PRL might have "roaming" in the title, but it effects a helluva lot more than just that, its the list of tower your phone sees in ORDER. Not only that but by doing that it resets the "switch", which may fix any data issues you are having. Saves you tons of time, instead of wasting your time at a corp store to get it fixed.

Just so you guys know, a kernel is what can effect the service. My rom at this point in time does not have a custom kernel, it uses the vanilla one that your phone currently has. My rom doesn't mess with tower, or APN settings, and that should be pretty obvious. Why? Well when you flash to my rom, does your phone number disappear from the phone? Even with CWM version that formats your phone, it still doesn't.

My rom will not change your service what so ever, and I haven't tested all the 500,000+ apps out there and how they will or will not conflict with my rom. I have though, tested my rom with all that it comes with. I can't say the ROM is 100% bug proof, but honestly there's not anything crazy modification wise going on here. Most of the apps are stock, deodexed, and my CWM version is optipnged.

If you've tried what I said above, and your service still has a problem. I'd be glad to help, and I'm always in IRC in the evenings. Not only that, but other people in the IRC as well if i'm not their, will probably do there best to help ya.

Hey Silvist, thanks again for the rom!

I just noticed something and I was not sure if you are aware of it.
It appears that Exodus suffers from the 1x icon bug that was fixed during the OTA update. In other words, the icon on the status bar says 1x while I am positive that I am on 4g. (A quick speed test using the speedtest.net app shows 4.32Mpbs D and 2.21Mbps U)

Is this something you're aware off?
I checked the build number and baseband versions just in case (although if I understood correctly those should not have been touched) and of course they are indeed still the updated versions, respectively SCH.R910.EE07 and CDMA:R910.0.4M.EE07/LTE:SCH-R910.ED15

PS: Like the animation you got going on the icons, btw.

Actually I haven't noticed that problem at all. Considering the stock 4g LTE icons were not changed. If ya look in the stock framework and the framework of my rom the x1 icons are named identically. In fact I did it all through UOT kitchen. Keep in mind evdo is being worked on in multiple markets, but yah no way its 4 mb. Either case ill check it out. Thanks for the heads up and glad ya like the icons.

Alright, if anyone is brave enough with a Cricket R915 Indulge, and has CWM try this:

http://dl.dropbox.com/u/36172709/CWM R915 Exodus ROM 0.6.zip

PLEASE NOTE THIS IS ONLY FOR THE R915 CRICKET VERSION OF THE INDULGE, AND PLEASE USE CWM TO BACK YOUR STUFF UP PRIOR TO TRYING IT

Let me know how it works out, I finally got the source of the R915 to work with. As for the 0.7 version still working on it, and its coming along nicely. Just waiting to see what else T3XAN wants to add to it ;p.

Is there an ODIN .tar available in case this ROM *somehow* knocks out our phone/CWM? I have a 915 and am willing to try it out but I just want to have all grounds covered :)

Yah Odin will work, but if ya use CWM to back up that should cover most issues. I had the258 test it last night with out the r915 source and fully booted. He experienced a couple force crashes because I was using the r910 source. But Dr, the Creator of the cwm for r910/r915 helped me get a r915 source. So this will work, I just want to know if there's any bugs. If it works I can keep releasing my rom for both 910 and 915. If ya need the cwm hit up the irc and I'm always there to help in the evenings. If I'm not there T3XAN my right hand man is :D

Did the same thing but this time there was a android process force close. Backing up to normal. :/

Wierd, so with the R915 source it had a worse issue. Hmm, looks like i'm going to have to take everything apart, this might take me a while to fine tune.

whatever you do silvist this rom is still kick a** the battery life on this rom with my extended battery is unreal i appreciate what youve done so keep up the s**t

Np its what we do. Anyone else notice compared to basix this rom gets better battery? Which is odd, just something I noticed. We will also try to release a script for those who want and easy install and either don't have cwm or know how to use it.

definitely longer battery life ive tried both roms for days and im using exodus because the battery is great on it

Can someone show me how to switch back an fourth to exodus and basix??? Right now Im only using basix, but how to do I install both of them like everyone else with cwm???

Install basix. There's an exodus theme out for basix. Use that to get exodus' look on your basix rom.
Remember that exodus is based on an early build of basix! ;)

Thanks for not helping. AND I have basix, I want to run a test on both of them because a good number people are saying exodus has better battery life. I believe it does also because with my extended batt on exodus i used to get 14 hours, and now with basix calibrated CORRECTLY, I get about 7:30. I just wanna know how people are switching from rom to rom with ease.

Ah, I read you wrong. My bad. What you need is to put both zip files on your sd card's root and flash between the two? Annoying, but it works.
Other option might be to use boot manager, but I'm not sure of it's supported/tested on the indulge... It let's you boot different roms from your sd card.
As far as basix vs exodus battery life, maybe basix added some functionally from the early builds that consume more power? Idk... Maybe a diff of the roms should be in order... Anyone up to the challenge?

PS: I personally don't notice any drastic battery life changes, but then again I do have a bias towards basix... It's a "brighter"rom, if you will... Hey, maybe the screen is burning more battery to display transparencies instead of black everywhere! Ok... Fine... That was a long shot.

a good number people are saying exodus has better battery life.

Extremely unlikely, trust me. ;) But if you get improper battery results on either one, it's either a calibration issue, or apps in the background - unless there are changes in this version of Exodus that I'm not familiar with.

Lol maybe I read this wrong, but you talking about the exodus theme I made for basix being an earlier design of Exodus rom theme style? If it is, then yes it is, and I tried to update the look to reflect the newer versions of Exodus; but I failed ;/.

The only thing that is being used from basix, besides the script for CWM (credit of k0), is the kernel in the upcoming release (again credit to k0 lol). Everything else is based on the stock indulge vanilla, except for some tweaks that were implemented (thanks to shabby, and who knows where shabby got them from lol, *coughs*maybe k0*coughs*).

One question I had for you guys, I what do you think about Go launcher EX? I found a tool that allows me to make a custom theme specifically for GO Launcher ex, which would allow the look of the phone to totally change drastically. So many people have so many different launchers they like, that I just left Touchwiz for overall universal usage. Personally I hate it lol, can't really do much when it comes to themeing.

Here's what I got so far for the upcoming release:
Custom Boot animation
Custom Shutdown animation
Custom boot sound
Alot more custom icons (finally got rid of the annoying glitch of the original x1 and 4g icons)
Custom GINGERBREAD Keyboard
Netflix app
Going to make sure the basic apps like Tethering, lol adobe flash player, extended ringtones, ringdroid, quickboot, terminal are included

I'm sure there's more that's being added, just what I can toss up off the top of my head, i'm sure T3xan has plenty of graphical stuff lined up also.

i agree go launcher is great eye candy and gingerbread kb is great as well actually. did i mention battery life is great on this rom as well
