Root cm7 no hdmi?

And now a new problem arises. I have cm7 but my HDMI doesn't work. It doesn't play movies and when I use hdmiwin it says cable not detected. But when I plug it in the no signal sign on the TV goes away.

Now I have another problem. I installed cm7 but my HDMI wont work. Not on movies not with hdmiwin not at all. What's going on here?

Was it working before at anytime? I noticed my Cm7 wont mirror unless I do it in this order:


1. Plug HDMI into tv or monitor
2. open HDMI mirror app
3. enable app
4. now plug HDMI cable into phone

Mine will not work unless done this way. Try that.

Interesting. I've had no issues mirroring with HDMwIn on CM7 (stock CM7 kernel). I plug in cable to phone and TV. Open the app, start mirroring, and after some static/snow on the screen and some loud popping noises, it mirrors fine.

So the question is: what app are you using to play movies?
