***Banging my head on the wall***

Thunderbolt, Thunderbolt, Thunderbolt, Thunderbolt.

I can't believe how many people are drooling over this phone. I am so disappointed in my TB, I just don't see how I could pay for another HTC device. Released on March 17 and still no OTA Gingerbread. 3 battery pulls a day. Shouldn't we expect better? Shouldn't HTC give some assurance Vigor/TB2 will be a better experience than TB. Frankly, all I see is disappointments with new devices these days. Honestly, what device in the last 18 months has not been a disappointment? I could be setting the bar too high, but it's not like they're giving these phones away.

For those who are willing to buy Vigor/TB2, how are you able to overlook the fail that is the Thunderbolt?

I admit that I do like the looks and specs of the Vigor. If Prime is a dud, I'm definitely getting it, if the battery life is semi decent.

I like Motorola phones, but they've produced some duds, too. Samsung is an excellent manufacturer, but they've produced some really plasticky looking pieces of crap on occasion.

HTC produced the Eris, the mother of all crap-phones, but maybe they'll have figured some stuff out, since the Vigor appears to be their answer for the iPhone 5 and Bionic. The only thing I can say is sit back and read the reviews, especially the forums.

The reviews for the Bionic have been hit or miss, with almost no accuracy in reporting battery life, because they all wanted to be the first ones to review it. On the forums, though, you can see the problems in a much more accurate way.

I don't want the mental image of me sleeping and you staring at my posts! Yuck!

If you're going to stare at someone's posts while they're sleeping, I suggest Sandroidfan's.

Egghmm.. I'm llitle confused... Are you normal, or there are there some mental problems with you?
It was supposed to be curious and funny detail... Eh... That's ok, never mind.

Thejungle-

There is really only one person you'll consistantly find me making sport of, here. Me. There's just so much to make fun of! :p

Sorry for the misunderstanding, and back on topic! :)

4chan's specs are just too dreamy to be realistic. I mean, it's everything anyone would want in a phone. And I think that's what 4chan did: create a mental "perfect" phone and put it out there to see how fast it would go viral.

I call BS too.

Jungle,

Przykro mi. Moje poczucie humoru jest dziwne.

:D

I don't like HTC, it's design and Sense. It's too sugary/treacly.

That's what's so cool about android lots of choices...touch wiz, sense, blur, and vanilla.

I personally love Sense better than all the rest however, the idea of possibly having a Vanilla phone that gets updated regularly is very interesting to me.

Everything's gone to be quite messed as for the moment... Is this an Illision or Prime? If this is Prime - I must say I expected something more impressive... :(

Oh noo... I'm very disappointed now... I wondered it is some really nice design, with maybe some references to Robots/machines like the Droid was styled...
Is Google-Samsung association really without any ideas for innovation? :((

Steven, this is the worst fake of them all! Look at the screen color near the top; it's obviously filled in.

Also, compare it with this:

(Samsung illusion):

SamsungIllusion.jpg

It's the exact same phone! Look at the reflections in the trim, it's the same. Only the capacitive buttons were blacked out.

Oh, Steven, why?

Whyyyyyyyy??????????

Maybe because that's the closest thing we have to what it's actually going to look like? All rumored information points to a phone that would look exactly like that. Sure, it's a mock up... but a darn good one.

Wake me up, when something really big happens.
Zzzzz.... All this peace of crap trying to imitate real phone are soo boooriinnggg! I want some serious big info, and blurrycam photos. No, if it could not be blurry, it'd be better. But something smelling real.

Guys, going sleep. and..
@HanSolo-
Don't even try to stare in my posts!!! ;)

Well, if we're going down this road, this picture looks even better.

Notice the Samsung logo lower down, allowing for a bigger screen.

(according to the original poster, this is the final version.)

Now this would be sweet, indeed.

OP updated. (tough crowd) :p

A few disjoint thoughts:

Jungle: Welcome to the forums! Don't worry, we're not fussy about spelling here. Or grammar. Or even coherent conversation, sometimes.

Don S: I'm onboard w/concerns about overlaid software buttons as well, but will reserve judgment until it appears. I like the advantages of more available screen area and buttons whose locations could rotate w/the screen, and I have to assume the UI designers are well aware of the annoyance that extra clicks would be. I wonder if the button behavior can be configured on a per-app basis.

Bloatware: I don't really care much about extra apps that are preloaded in the internal 16GB memory as long as they don't occupy RAM and aren't soaking up CPU as a background task. There's always the external 16GB to load stuff on, or upgrade it to 32GB. As everybody says, a good launcher can cure many of the symptoms considered bloat.

Prime Specs: If Prime comes in November w/LTE, ICS, and a vivid HD screen (Pentile or not) and otherwise has SGS2 or better specs (ideally OMAP 4460), I don't see how it could fail. I don't understand the buzz about being a dud.
