Agree, I hope people just walk away now. "Bribing" people to get more followers is pathetic in my opinion.

Divulge information or shut up. People like this are ruining a good community.

We'll get info regardless and not have to jump through hoops to get it. Sheer stupidity

I edited my previous post and apologize for being that caught up in excitement. I will not jump through hoops for someone I don't even know for information I know I'll get eventually, and I am SORRY I encouraged anyone else to. Thank you for slapping me back to reality... now let's just continue waiting for FCC clearance and all will be known soon enough.

Chief, I see no reason to apologize. Not to start a civil war, but being made to feel bad about sharing the Twitter feed info is almost as manipulative as the poem tease. I am here in part to hear the speculation of Prime's release. This is some pretty good info on said release. I am following... :-)

woooooow all this tweeter talk is crazy. .I just checked in, and saw all these new posts, and expected some kind of new info, but no. . All about some Tweeter.

I think manipulating peaple as this is untasty. Let's just for some new info, and post here in one place. It wuld be nicier to collect some new information in one place.
 
@Steven58: Once we have an official name for this device, will it be easy enough to simply rename the forum (either this one or the Samsung Droid Prime forum) and keep everything intact, or will it be some convoluted method of creating a new forum and trying to move/merge them?

The reason I am curious is because I'd really rather not see a repeat of what happened with the Function/Stratosphere forums... where everything in BOTH forums was accidentally and irretrievably deleted... I am not blaming anyone and don't want to reopen any old wounds, but I am understandably curious :)
 
I think Old Tommy jumped the gun with the release date. If he wanted 1,000 followers, he should have held onto that tidbit until the end. . . .

He should be able to just simply rename this forum and send the threads of the other forum to this one. That is what I would do at least.

Yeah, I don't think that will ever happen again and we will take care of the name of the forum when we get more info. :)
 
We can't get more info as for now from them. We know all - release date, and that's most important. Now It'd be nice to get some graphics - photos and renders of UI and design...
 
I expect the Prime to come with an samsung-own SoC (around 1.5GHz dual-core and the new ARM Mali T604(MP, so multi-core, 2x or even 4x)...

LTE seems to be a sure thing...

but if the prime doesn't have a MP(2 or 4) GPU i guess i'll buy a SGS2 (because it has got a Mali 400MP). because it would'nt be a competitor, the Apple A5 has got a PowerVr SGX543MP2!

conclusion: i hate apple and i won't buy one of their products, but if the prime hasn't got a MP-GPU i'll get a SGS2...

also the prime HAS TO have a MP-GPU, a single-GPU hasn't got the power for a 720p Screen when it comes to 3D Games...

Watch Tv on your smartphone is what i'm missing sometimes...

in the asian region nearly every smartphone has got an antenna for receiving Tv-Channels

and the best of course, watching tv over DVB-T is free :)

i could imagine watching football on my smartphone when i can't arrive home on time...

ps: if you don't know what DVB-T is, it's like ATSC in North America (i guess, thats what wikipedia says :D)
