Yeah sucks to be on verizon they are going to be passing up another great phone lol. Like I said in my other post, T-mobile will most likely get it first like they always do and then later every other carrier. Idk how all these sites were getting at Verizon getting the thing first and exclusively.
IMO, there's no chance that T-Mobile will be getting Prime anytime soon, especially not before VZW. They haven't even started selling their SGS2 model yet, and they'd kill it dead by offering Prime.

That video was awesome nice big screen I like it! Cannot wait
slow your roll there chief :) It's a little too early to be calling anything right now. I will be the first to admit it doesn't look so great at this time but it's way too early for predictions on who will get what and first.

If the i515 doesn't show up soon on the FCC then we are definitely looking at the potential for Verizon not launching the device first and/or exclusive.

Rumor was it wasn't launching until Q1, 2012 and rumor of it launching first on Verizon so nothing is off the table right now.

Wait and see, lets not jump to conclusions just yet

I have been saying the Verizon version of this phone will be a variant of the new SGSII-HD LTE. And from what I have been seeing it is looking better all the time...:D:D:D:D

Well troops, this is where I put my faith in vz_wired. Why? For lack of verifiable resources and a belief that we can't always take one up the chute. The blogosphere seems to be leaning toward the 2 phone theory with Verizon ending up with the red headed stepchild once again. Having already been down that path I ain't going back. I'm sticking with the following premises until/unless hard evidence proves otherwise:

1.) Verizon will be the first network to receive the device.
2.) The device will be near the GSM specs although I've been up in the air re: the processor since the beginning. Frankly I don't give a rat's sphinctor at this point, I'm of the opinion it's one of the two mentioned 1.5's.
3.) The release date will be November something.
4.) A slight delay doesn't bother me in the least. My NE2 is 12/31/11 and depending on how long it takes for root, I may wait and save another $50.

Now...if they eff this up, there is going to be a freakin crap storm unlike we have ever witnessed. VZW will face a wrath that makes a woman scorned look like a saint in a tutu holding a bouquet of dainty flowers. There will be a mass exodus that will rain through the mainstream and blogs...and every single author will get that account correct the first time, no edits required.

Link seems to be working - maybe try another browser or something?

In any case - there's a 180 day confidentiality notice hanging on the submittal of September 23, 2011 for things like photos and a permanent confidentiality on things like schematics and so forth - pretty standard stuff.

Just some test reports, no end approval, certs, or final dates - not much there.
yeah all the *REALLY* good stuff is hidden for 6 months or until the day it goes on sale. unless mobile frequencies interest you there's no real reason to go trawling through the database.

What? Nobody talks about Shelby Township!

Seriously, someone needs to make an app that gives us around the clock updates in a feed. This is getting tiring.

FWIW I believe VZ_WIRED as well.

Hey I used to live in Shelby TWP ;)

I don't believe anything anyone has said about any of it :D I want to believe VZ just because he says things that make us happy but he has no credibility here yet.

Wasn't directing at anyone. Just having myself a moment. Truth is, I have doubt and it's nagging me. I thought that time was behind us but now I'm not positive. Sorry if I came across as brash.
Oh I was just teasing you about your colorful choice of phrases.

But don't be discouraged. I'm no blind fanboi, but I'm convinced that Prime will be a stellar phone when it arrives, even if the least impressive predictions prove correct. I'm hoping it arrives in November, but even if it doesn't arrive until December or even January (definitely w/1.5GHz by then!) it'll be a very impressive phone worth keeping for a long time.

Let's not get too ahead of ourselves here. we dont have to put ALL our faith in vs_wired remember this leak from yours truly?

and then this.

Is the fact that the prime is replacing the charge worrying anyone that the device won't be pure vanilla? Or is it just me?

remember that "T-mobile" has never actually sold a Nexus, google sold Nexus One, Best Buy, Nexus S....it was only made for Tmo network....I had to call an HTC phone number to get tech support on my nexus. T mobile people didn't know squat about it. I think it will come out on Verizon, but I also don't think Tmo's current lineup has anything to do with whether the Nexus comes out on Tmo.

Just out of pure curiosity and I'm pretty sure one of the mods has done this. Since some people believe vz_wired to be credible to an extent and others don't believe anything he or she has said(as well as most other leak sources) can I ask a favor of you Steven58? Will you check the ip address of vz_wired to see if they have another screen name just to be sure that we're not all getting played by leaning on some of their words? I figure that one of you guys has done this already but in case you never thought of it. I think it would help a little as to whether it's just some guy that saw this thread and figured they'd make a somewhat convincing screen name to help add fuel to the fire or if this person could be the real deal. I'm hoping it's the latter as it would add, in my opinion, a little more credibility to vz_wired.

p3Droid is tweeting that androidguy's article on two possible Primes is BS crap reporting and false.

But there are two different model numbers associated with this phone, so I'm not sure what he's talking about. . .

His ip address, his identity as well as every member's who entrusts us with any information is private. Period. However, nothing of what I see would be a contradiction or would compromise his claim. :D
if you catch my drift. :D:D

There are always two different model numbers. It was the same thing with the galaxy s. Version was different than the others so I can see this being the same way. They will be the same phone just one would be gsm and the other would be cdma and lte for verizon.

I'm really starting to feel strongly that there is ONLY ONE phone. One. That's it. I think the phones that have been leaked are test devices, and Google/Samsung are keeping tight wraps on the final device. They aren't even letting the majority of testers see the final device or use it. They are letting testers test on a device that is kinda like the Galaxy SII, but the device they are testing on IS NOT the device teased in the "Something Big Is Coming" video. There is one device. It's the one coming to all carriers. It will release on Verizon first and then the same device will release on the other carriers a month or two later. It will be the exact same Nexus phone for all carriers, except for radios, just as they've always done. The reason some people are thinking there are two devices is because of the test hardware phones that testers are using. They are simply test devices, they are not going to be mass produced. The final build will be, and that is the "beast" that is super sexy and polished and was teased in the CTIA video from Samsung. The. End.

Thanks Redraider, that makes me feel better. :)

So, the way it's been the last couple of days, I've been waking up to some great news. Here's hoping something good develops over night.

Off topic. Finally after an entire day of chasing the end of this thread. I've made it.

For at least a few minutes anyway.

EPIC.

Interesting. Especially if the most important part of it is ICS. By letting others test the crap out of ICS without compromising leaking the actual phone, they'd be ahead of any leaks.

However, wouldn't they need to test the radios, especially if it's got a newfangled Exynos processor, to make sure it's not another Bionic debacle?

We had this kind of conspiracy theory stuff with the first Incredible and it turned out that testers had it the whole time. Many of them even coming in and giving us little hints here and there but nothing concrete. Just face it, Verizon chooses very trustworthy testers that don't leak what they aren't supposed to. Those NDAs can be pretty nasty if you violate them so they have plent of incentive not to.

They probably are testing all those things. Just internally. I mentioned this earlier in the thread and I really think this is the case. At the least it seems like the most possible scenario and the most logical. Still expecting to be surprised when this phone is announced. The higher end specs could very well have been guessed at but might be closer to the real phone anyway.

I not sure why people are jumping on the wagon, then off, then on.

I am gone to Stick with what I have been saying-SGSII-HD variant with EXYNOS 1.5 .

Dual core is done after 2011 for high end phones. If you went a phone with lesser specs after 2011 it will be dual core. Testing is being done now with quad core for 2012 Q1 high end phones.

And i still believe that we will see the FCC next week. < Just a hunch.:)

Does there have to be a conspiracy behind google testing a new operating system? We aren't suggesting that they're trying to fool people about the prime. Just suggesting that they have been testing on hardware already available but have more updated hardware for their new flagship nexus?

LOL, sorry if it came off that way. I didn't want his ip by any means, I'm a network tech and understand what information a simple ip address can give you. Sorry for the confusion if there was any. :D Thanks for the tidbit though, just puts another tick mark in vz_wired's column of authenticity in my eyes and perhaps a couple others. Thanks Steven, you're awesome to say the least! ;)
