Well I have lurked long enough I had to register. This thread is crazy with anticipation. I have been officially addicted. I am still using the OG Droid and am looking to make this my upgrade.
BTW I have to say this, The moderating staff here is unbelievable. You guys are great! The level of involvement here is very supportive of the feeling of a united community! Wonderful stuff.

would be surprised if I saw the nexus prime on att before next year sadly. The one that passed FCC I think is for gsm world version that will be sold outside us

I hear ya, but you will probably never get "official proof". No one in their right mind would risk their employment or possible litigation just to pacify a bunch of people on an internet forum.
Btw, the article was corrected saying they meant the release was on 11/3 not the announcement.

Han's right, wires got crossed. Multiple sources have said 11/3 and there's really no reason to expect things to appreciably change. Guys, look at the number of iPhones being sold. I said this in another thread...For every iPhone sale to another carrier, that's one less potential customer for Verizon to woo from one of those carriers with Android - presuming the reports that VZ gets first crack are true. I don't know the specific numbers of EACH carrier, but assuming reports of exclusivity are accurate, every day that passes is one more person that could have come to Big Red for a Prime/Vigor/RAZR...right now, Verizon isn't offering anything different than any other carrier, at least as it pertains to iPhone. As a business driven professional, I can assure you that the reports of all 3 devices are impending and releases as well. Would make ZERO sense otherwise...

It's rare that a moderator can do a good job of interacting with the community on the same level but still function in their moderator capacity without evident bias. I'm honestly not capable of it, so where I moderate, I detach myself from the community a bit. I simply don't have the skill, and to be fair, most don't.
But most of the moderators that I do interact with here are amazing at it.

Just please keep in mind that this is unconfirmed until Verizon (company, not leaking employees) comes out with a press release stating the exact date. We have too many people here defending their rumor of choice as fact, and then insulting others for doing the same over a different rumor.

I would think that the Verizon exclusivity will be short-lived. It's actually a bit ironic that the AT&T-compatible version was the first to pass through FCC.
If you have the funds and are REALLY itching to get one, I'm sure you could import one quick and it would work on AT&T. At least I think it would.

Agreed. However, even the Bionic wasn't "officially" announced with a solid release date until what, two week before? Yet that date was bandied around for I think about a month prior to their announcement.
One of these dates (10/27, 11/3) is bound to be correct. I think 10/27 is too good to be true.
And if Steven says this source is to be trusted, I don't have to ask how he knows or why he's sure. Steven's opinion has a lot of weight around here, at least to me.
(And no, I'm not being sarcastic!)

Great point, Medion. To be fair, all of us defending dates, specs, etc are merely reflecting the "leaks" from the people we believe. No doubt all of us could be proven wrong at a moment's notice. Fingers crossed, we're not, though!!!

lol so true. . . I remember reading about someone saying it wouldn't be released til early 2012. I simply muttered "Idiots" and moved on. Didn't notice that it got much play here, either.
