Just a thought, am I the only one who has gotten all this leaked nexus stuff--wallpapers, audio, etc--and set all this up on their device, but day one of having the nexus will be spent changing wallpapers and ringtones to not stock? Example: I am using one of the NP wallpapers, and I geek everytime I look at my screen, but im all but certain I wont use this wallpaper on the actual NP.

I haven't downloaded the audio stuff, but I'm rocking the green leaf background. That will look awesome in HD!! :D

But yeah, I'll probably have it for 4 minutes and then move on to something else. I like dark wallpapers usually.

Sorry if this has been asked already, but

Does anyone here have a Bionic or Galaxy S? If so, could you comment on the performance of the PowerVR SGX540 GPU?

Games have always been smooth on the iPhone 4/iPad, and my Droid X couldn't really handle things like Fruit Ninja without hitches. I'm interested in whether or not the OMAP 4460 will be able to handle games like Madden or those FPS 3D games

Great question! May I nominate you to pose that in a Bionic forum and get back to us w/the feedback?

Well, my Incredible has finally run its course...question is, how will I ever find the money for this phone :/

Put it on your bill. Same money, but it gives you extra time to pay for it. I usually put half on it, then its at least split up and not a large chunk at once.

Hahaha I'm usually against going to a specific phone's forum to ask them about their phone. It'd be like going to the iPhone forums and asking them how good multitasking is :P

But seriously, it's partly because I'm lazy, and partly because the few Bionic owners here are probably looking for something better, and I want to know if the GPU performance is a part of it ;)

I have SGS ;D. I can say simply -it ROCKS! I got all last gameloft games! It can handle everything you have now in the market, or enywhere else.

That's the one I'm using! OMG! Me 2!

Sorry. I agree with the dark wallpapers. I tried to have a black and white theme going on for the longest time.

I just canceled my t-mobile contract and sold my g2x because I HATE t-mobile. They have such terrible coverage, and I rarely get 4g in areas where the coverage map says I should get it. I purchased a OG Droid off of ebay and went on a month to month contract on verizon.

Not sure what this has to do with anything, but I just want to say I'm ready for the Prime on Verizon. :)

Is the "No SD card slot" thing still up in the air? If so I may have to go back to Vigor :( I do WAY too much traveling to be able to rely on cloud. My DX literally replaced my ipod and dvd player for plane rides and rides on the subway and drives across states in the car hooked up to my aux dock...

The cool thing with the SAMOLED screens is that it doesn't use any backlight behind black colors, so you'll have deeper ink-black color AND battery efficiency!

Argh! I need official Prime news now!

What does "imminent" mean again?

My OG Droid can play fruit ninja fine. I haven't played Madden, but Fifa runs smoothly on it too.

Games are designed to run on the lowest specs they can get away with. Any current GPU should comfortably play any game for the next two years.

I have a question regarding cloud services, and hopefully someone can shed light on this.

Suppose I have all 6 Star Wars movies "in the cloud". And say I'm going on a plane trip to California today. Can I download the movies from the cloud, store them in the phone somehow, view one or two during the flight, and then put them "back into the cloud" upon arrival?

Or is it constantly streaming like Netflix?

not sure if anyone noticed this line in the slashgear article that was poted earlier.

"Pin-for-pin, the new OMAP 4 chip is compatible with its predecessors, which means that manufacturers using the older versions face little work to swap over to the OMAP4470."

could that mean that it could still be possible for that chipset in the final hardware if TI managed to get enough out in time? And yes I realize that the article states the chips will be ready 1H 2012. Just throwing it out there that maybe Google was able to persuade TI to make these for their Nexus and that's why there was a shortage of 4460's for Archos and the possibly the reason why it isn't been in anything yet.

You know what I just realized?

The rumored specs put the have the OMAP 4460 with SGX540 GPU overclocked at 384 MHz

The OMAP 4470 has the SGX544 GPU running normally at...384 MHz

THE DREAM IS ALIVE LET THE RUMORS BEGIN AGAIN!!
