Actually here is a workaround to the countdown issue. Upon refresh the image will update with the correct amount of time left until the announcement.

Huh, the post entry form has a button to wrap PHP tags around text. What can you do w/that?

The PHP tags allow you to paste PHP code into a post and it formats / color codes the code correctly if this was a PHP troubleshooting forum for example. Makes it easier to read.

Also, realize Google has bent time and space so that the US and Canada get the announcement 1 day earlier than the rest of the world even though it's being announced at the same time.
