On a more serious note, is anybody somewhat worried about this event being in Hong Kong? This phone is supposed to be a VZW exclusive, so why would it be announced in Hong Kong? We know a GSM version exists because it cleared the FCC, so will that be the one that we see? I would bet on it. Then the question is, will we see or even hear about the VZW version at this event? I'm starting to doubt it, and if we don't, when will it be announced? VZW is holding a conference with Motorola on the 18th, and I don't know if I see them stealing the thunder from that for this phone that has supposedly frustrated them because Google and Samsung have controlled the announcements and marketing (or lack thereof).

think about this....how could they announce and demo ICS without a device to run it on? No "official current" Android device in production runs ICS.....

I don't think it's a reason to worry. This is simply a rescheduled event of something that was supposed to happen in the United States.

It would take too long to secure another venue, etc. etc. etc., so they just jumped to an event that was already set.

I'm sure they will announce world versions as well, but I'd be shocked beyond all logic if they didn't announce a U.S. release date for Verizon.
 
So, now we know what "imminent" means. :D
In the future, if someone in the tech industry says something is "imminent", expect it in 2 days

has history and pre-release threads taught you nothing?! if you expect to be amazed, you're gonna end up disappointed and angry... :p
 
Do we know if ICS is a girl or a boy? I wonder what's underneath that wrapper. It's such a tease. It's ripped off at just the right spot.
