at :39 in this video there is a woman taking a picture with her phone... I can't quite tell what it is. I'm probably just thinking way to much and it's probably just a Nexus S. Even if it is our baby you can barely see it. I have a screen shot (still) of it on my computer but I don't know how to post that here.

What are the chances the entire thing is shot on the Nexus..........?;)

"i sell phones at walmart and i talked to my verizon rep today.
i asked him if he heard anything on when the vigor is going to launch and he said he heard the first week of next month.
and that the prime will be launching before the vigor."

if true, looks like my mind is made up for the nexus :)

First of all, the NP should be a great device, but not for me without the sd card. My Droid 3 has 12gb usable internal storage and 30gb usable on the sd card. I have no speed issues with a lot of media and game roms. That should be about 17gb more storage than the NP, since about 4.5gb of the usable space on the NPs 30gb usable will be taken up by ICS firmware, stock apps, data allocation and about the last 1gb will not be usable (just like HC).

I clearly stated most people will be fine with the NP and its storage, but I keep MP3s, movies, pictures, PSX roms, Oid roms and MAME roms on my D3 and use it as an all-in-one.

There are probably only one out of every ten folks that are media hounds like me.

Added:

Also, 64gb microsdxc cards work on most newer devices (formatted to fat32 for most, unless ext3 support). I will get one of those when the price drops (a "few" months).

I completly with Rushmore on the SD card thing - no card will mean no Prime for me. Far too many ways I utilize the removeable SD to not have one in my phone. If Android starts going Apple 101 and people using android start spinning it as a good thing ala iSheeple you know we are in for a long haul of being overcharged on "cloud storage" and "data" just to use basic services like music on our "super phones". No SD is gimping this phone, plain and simple.

I just wanted to say how grateful I am for my fellow moderator, EarlyMon. I really appreciate the way he stepped up to the plate to help out in here. I never asked him for help but hehis knew it was needed.

I really appreciate his technical knowledge and his insight. I also appreciate his touch as a moderator. He's really helped keep the peace, on occasion. It's true that this group seems to be a bit more noble than some of the folks in the Incredible thread were. We're all very peaceable and friendly to each other. It really has been easy to moderate this thread because you all are so knowledgeable and civil to one another.

Thank you to Earl and thanks to all the participants in this thread who keep it fun, exciting, F5-y (yes that's a new word) and safe.

Steven

Edit: We've lost one of our finest mods today due to his being busy. UBRocked.. I gotta say, I'm very sad about his stepping down. He's been so helpful around here. I'm going to miss him. A thank you to him, too. :D

Great first post, BKayrac! And welcome to the forums!

whatever codenames are always better, I still call my droid, "sholes"... :p old habits never die after the epic hofo prerelease thread.

I haven't been to HoFo in years! I used to be a regular over there in the T-Mobile subforums, but IIRC things got a bit hectic. TmoNews, Phandroid, AndroidGuys, et al made things a bit easier to get my T-Mobile and android news. Now that I'm no longer a TMobile customer I generally just browse here.

I really want this phone! No SD card is a bummer, but the more I think about it the more I realize I've hardly used up space on my DX, with all of the music, pics, and video I have on there. Bring it on, stock ICS, 4G LTE (unlimited for some of us ;) ) 720p screen, I can't wait!

I've never actually seen a Nexus S in person. What do you guys think? Does that seem familiar. or is it our dear little Prime?

with the massive dev community that should be following this phone, we will have root in no time. my question is do you guys think there will be a sense rom at some point? i know its dumb but im a fan of sense. Sense + the prime = eternal happiness for me. ;)

I have also been a HUGE fan of Sense. Not really just Sense in general, but honestly just the big flipping analog clock and the weather, with the full screen animation. Well, I ran onto something a couple of weeks ago. My fiance wanted a really cool clock on her Epic 4G Touch and I found Fancy Widgets in the market. Holy crap! It's basically HTC Sense, for free, on steroids! You can get the exact same clock as on Sense in either white or black (black looks really cool). That clock is called the "Inversion Clock" made by Interweb, and the standard white one that is like standard Sense is called "H7C Clock" by Interweb as well. You can also load the weather animation just like Sense. It's awesome. Plus, you can pick your weather provider. You can put it on any Android phone for free, and without all of the full skin UI bloat of real HTC Sense. Try it out, I think everyone who is a Sense fan will love it. I could care less about the rest of Sense, I just love that big beautiful clock and weather.

I'm also on the camp that no SD slot is non-issue for me with large internal storage, but I can see why it's bummer for some. I rarely carry large and important media files in my phone and just occasionally transfer files through microUSB to computer. I think Google is pursuing Apple like model (iOS5 + iCloud) with ICS and new Cloud services.
