Just curious, how would always-present software buttons be worse than any other phone you're thinking of buying?

I also like to see if Steven's source can answer that. But I don't quite get the concern like you are raising. This topic has been covered many many pages ago.

Even if the soft button stays at the bottom, it leaves 4.3" space according to leaked screen resolution info. And it still retains 320 dpi screen sharpness. How's that worse than 4.3" screen phone with physical buttons? I don't have issue with that. But I'd bet Google implemented auto rotation/hide into ICS.

I cheated my way to 9k.. I admit it. I used my Mod powers to delete my unnecessary post #8998, which made my 9001 into 9000. I really should be fired for this. I mean, using my powers for evil and all. :p

The way I see it? I only have a limited amount of questions to ask before I become too much of a pest to our source. It may very well be that I've hit that number, already. My source is being very, very kind to me even though I feel like a pain in the Arse.

If I do come to him/her with a question, it's going to be a bigger one than this. Think of it as "Who wants to be a millionaire"... you don't wanna waste your lifelines on the easy questions. :p

The announcement of the Nexus will be in Hong Kong on the 18th?
But it will have nothing to do with Verizon, because they will be talking about ICS?

In the mean time Verizon and Google are fighting that is why the 10-11-11 announcement was canceled? << And if that was the case, Why did they not talk about ICS then?

ARE WE BEING SETUP?
Is Verizon dupping us?

I'm I losing my mind?;)

Does the Nexus S have any problems? Why would it be a problem? I can't imagine they are storing your info in an unencrypted form. It is not like a .txt file with yout CC number ready to read and transmitted.

The funny thing is this isn't a Nexus question, it's an ICS question. I know they haven't released the source code, but surely there are publicly available docs that the developers have access to that would definitively say what happens to the buttons?

What are people making of the news that Verizon's g-nex MAP shows up for 11/10? Could it be that best buy gets an exclusive launch for a week or two, which is why verizon is so mad; they don't get it until the same day as the RAZR launches, which means they lose all sales to g-nex early adopters. That's my theory anyway, maybe Steven can ask his source if it will still be available to us on 11/3....or I could just wait for Tuesday ;)

Well, the way I see it, they need to announce Ice Cream Sandwich and the Nexus at the same time, because after all, they need a phone to demo the OS on. And you can't announce a phone without having all the carrier information worked out. So that's why they delayed the whole thing from the 11th.
As for the 18th, we'll find out about Verizon then. They have to at least mention it.
