and from what i understand, verizone might not get it till the tenth. what is the rest of the gossip about google and verizon about? like some of the posts make it sound like we wont get it at all? can someone fill me it? (thanks guys)

NFC technology is not a gimmick, I work for a UK bank that is possibly going to be trialling it for mastercard.

In the next five years many many industries will be using it not just for things like financial payments but for things like opening hotel room doors to allowing you access to stadia or gigs (something governments are keen on as it helps with the black market problems)

The possibilities are endless

BTW this with VZW LTE should be the SCH-I815 which has been rumored. P3Droid says he's looking more forward to it than this Nexus.

Got my fingers crossed that means VZW will get a version where this has not been done this time and P3 knows this and that is what excites him. That's my hope anyhow and hopefully info confirming or denying leaks before Nexus shows!
 
I must rant. I'm at work, and there is always people around ie the public. I am really just done hearing people talk about getting the new iphone or upgrading to the new iOS. The fad is amazing. End rant.

I got that phone the first month it was released. I used to have a bad habit of changing phones every couple of months, so believe me I've seen/had lots of phones prior to S8000 which had a sharper res screen. Quite a few PPC's had 2.8 VGA screens way before S8000. A few Nokias also had high ppi screens.

My game plan: I went from the Droid X with extended battery to the IP4 with an extended battery(Mophie Juice Pack Air). I plan on jumping back to the Nexus on launch day. At that time I will forward my phone number on my IP4 to my Nexus and do a serious 14 day evaluation. If I like it, I will keep it and sell my IP4. If not, it goes back to VZW. I will not even consider the IP4S.

If you think there's a reasonable chance you won't want to keep it, you could wait a little while after release to see what the first owner reports are like. Unfortunately your IP4's resale value isn't what it was a few weeks ago. :(

I know this was asked many pages ago (hey, I'm still catching up!), but I never saw much of an answer. In DC, we have great LTE coverage and in fact I usually get 2-3 bars of 4G (on my Bionic) in the basement of our restaurant :eek: So, I'd saw it is a bit better/stronger than WiMax.
Obviously, your mileage will vary.

Steven, I know that the 9000th post thievery was an "anomaly", but could you please not delete 400 of my posts so that you can be number 1?

Please read this post before Steven deletes it, please know that I was number 1 and I made an appeal for human compassion to Steven so that I can keep my posts, which are almost at a thousand (oh my goodness!) and I really really think that maybe Steven is thinking about deleting hundreds of my posts and blaming it on another mod's inexperience with forum "cleaning" or something and I'm going to get totally screwed, and I'm begging the rest of the forum to just see this post, just see it, my brothers, and know! Know that I was here, that I was number 1, that I was robbed! Please, go to Le Rue de Chantal number 13 in Paris France and tell Rosalyn that I loved her and that I was going to come back but life got in the way and I forgot!
