Truly sorry, this novice will refrain in the future to avoid offending anyone.

Under no circumstances should you take offense to what I wrote. I was just observing and questioning, not lecturing nor bullying. If you like the text, go for it. I was more perplexed by the double color tags (and the fact that you have color=black as a tag when the default is black). The part about easy to read was more of a FYI than an edict on proper format.

Bluebiker is right, there are no rules for format, and if there were I am not the one who would design them.

My sincerest apologies if I let any offense,
Nkk

EDIT: Just saw you were new...Welcome to AF! :)

Thanks, "making the whole forum harder to read" is a pretty good accomplishment for this novice. I now realize what I did was create my post in Outlook, and then cut and paste, not realizing that the formatting transfers. Regardless, your answer to my real concern is most definately helping me decide. I can almost feel the GNex in my hands. :)

Some Android reports of using the IP4S: I have been seeing some reports from Android users trying the IP4S and they are generally kind of blah. The screen seems small, but sharp. The browser is really fast, but has to be enlarged and drops stuff on the side. Siri is no better than Google Voice Actions and in some cases worse because Siri has to be connected to a server, while Google Voice Actions is internal. And these reports are coming from people who haven't gotten a look or feel for the Samsung Galaxy Nexus and similar next generation phones.

Welp, ladies and germs? I did it. I filled out my Verizon Smartphone buyback form for them to buy back my phone. I'm getting 65 for the DX and I'm hoping to convince a loyalty person to give me an early 50 loyalty discount. I'm hoping to buy the phone for 189 ish all told.

I guess I can send in my phone after I buy it and use the 65 for accessories, which I don't really need. I'll figure out the timing. Starting to get excited, here.

BLD was right. Im waiting on nexus and currently have the bionic and verizon trade in for it is 112. and bestbuy is 301. wtf verizon! and i think ebay is 350 to 400. id unload on this now but dont have a back up smartphone.

52.5 hours :D and hopefully we will know what exactly is going on here. one thing that i thought is a possibility is that since they are announcing in HK, they might talk up the gsm version and not the vzw version, but instead only mention that initial availability in the USA will be with verizon with other global and domestic carriers coming shortly after.

Swappa is currently selling Bionics for $485 up. So sell yours there for, say, $450 and buy a Droid or Eris - just something to keep your data plan going if you have unlimited - for $100 or so FIRST. Use the difference to help offset the cost of the Gnex and then sell your Droid/Eris too. That way you're out almost nothing :)

thanks chief ive never heard of swappa before. just started looking into it. says 1 person intrested in bionic. just 1?! haha damn

Sox I bought 2 Droids off Swappa and it's a great service. Highly recommended. The trick is setting your price point to something attractive to you AND the prospective buyers.

Just because 1 person expressed interest in Bionic doesn't mean there aren't tons of prospects popping in and out. Your phone, at the right price, may hook 'em.

I wish Swappa got more press. More of the general Android population needs to know about it. It sickens me to see people give their phone back to VZW for pennies on the dollar, when they could get much more for it.

nbajam, all you can do is help spread the word. I've posted it countless times, and if enough people tell enough people about it, maybe it'll gain traction and become THE resource for all things buy/selling Android.

Does anyone has a recent chart that shows the different android versions that are pinging various websites?

It should be interesting to know if ICS is being used. Although I don't think testers would be allowed to use the Nexus at will. Just my guess.

I don't know where to find this info, but it was thought that ICS was showing up as "Tuna" per some tweets from P3Droid et al.

So, I initially wanted to get a Vigor. I have an upgrade that I've been sitting on since July and have been wanting to ditch my Eris. Then, four weeks ago I decided to "take a quick peek in the new Nexus forums since Vigor's was so boring." Big mistake. I've been "casually" reading this thread for 4 weeks now (I think I started around page 80 or so.) Read a few pages here and there, click through to the last page to see if anything mindblowing came out, wash-rinse-repeat.

Now I've reached the end and am stuck mashing F5 like some kind of crazed monkey. So, THIS is what it feels like to catch crazy. Now I know.

Thanks to everyone in the thread already for the wealth of info and entertainment. This thing is already an epic, and we're not even anywhere near done yet.

I know some people are saying Best Buy offers more but I just did an estimate for my Droid X in fair condition (has a few dings) and it was $64. Looks like I will go with Verizon too.

so, looking over the last million pages, I was wondering why the HD SGSII would go through the FCC for United States? Does anyone have any ideas?
