***Official Galaxy Nexus Pre-Release speculation thread**

Cellebrite is more than likely a hoax. Why? 1, They don't use the code names in the system and 2, the name is wrong (listed as Nexus Prime see number 1)

also those roadmaps have no validity anymore. Those have been all out wrong for a lot of devices.

The lack of info in all honesty concerns me. we have many other devices passing through the FCC and nothing on Verizons end. The same thing happened with the SGSII and we all know how that turned out.

Something needs to happen here and fast or else we may be looking down into a dry well

Just find a wooden dowel, put it between your teeth and bite down hard until Tuesday then. Hopefully you're wrong. I certainly think so, but I can understand why some would be starting to have doubts.

Have you been spying on me? :)

I hope I am wrong as well. I'll plan for the worst and hope for the best.

Swappa is currently selling Bionics for $485 up. So sell yours there for, say, $450 and buy a Droid or Eris - just something to keep your data plan going if you have unlimited - for $100 or so FIRST. Use the difference to help offset the cost of the Gnex and then sell your Droid/Eris too. That way you're out almost nothing :)

dang nobody Is selling captivates on swappa guess nobody wants my phone haha

Here's some more pics of ICS on a GS2:
Google Translate

I'm guessing it looks different because it's skinned with TouchWiz 5?

That looks like an ICS-themed launcher from the market that I downloaded to my OG droid and almost immediately deleted. If you're curious, just search for "ICS" in the market and it will come up.

I wouldn't worry about the FCC thing, CK. the iPhone 4S turned up at the FCC on the same day it was announced.

Apple iPhone 4S makes its way through the FCC? -- Engadget

I'm sure the Galnexusaurus is being kept confidential until it's announced. I have a strong feeling that we'll be up to our shoulders in pics, videos, and official specs come Tuesday night. ;)

hopefully we will know in less than 48 hours! but after considering all the leaks and how/where the event is being held and the current state of affairs between vzw and sammy/google, my guess is ths is what we will learn from the event....

1. all about ICS and its new features/improvements
2. about the initial flagship ICS phones for various regions(US, Asia, Europe etc)
3. sadly, i think number three thing isnt something we will learn, but something we will not learn. i dont forsee them telling a release date for the vzw phone, hopefully im wrong, but just doent make sense to do it this way

One thing I want to say is that if G-Nex does indeed rocks a TI OMAP4460 (it seem almost certain now), at least it's not using a Qualcomm S3 dual core SoC... that would have been less than desirable.

the one thing I realized today is I don't really know how much longer i can live with this phone. The non functional GPS is really annoying. I am really hoping this tues we see multiple versions of the galaxy nexus or w\e its being called today

Actually aren't we looking at 71 hours?

Edit: I'm already tired of the Galaxy Nexus. I think I'm going to look at the coming quad cores. (fickle.) ;) KIDDING!

I'm purposely not going to read any info about any other phones. I just need to buy one and get it over with. If I start reading about speculation on anything else, I may end up losing another few weeks and countless hours pouring over reams of hardware trivia debate and minutia again. I admit it's a guilty pleasure, but I always feel so dirty after.

Yeah...10 PM EDT on the 18th, just under 71 hours now.

: opens mouth, inserts foot : i have been writing the 16th as the date on things all day today, so not only was i just wrong about the time left, i have been wrong all day. and now i have a whole extra day to wait on the announcement that i didnt think i did.

So november 3rd is the preorder date and the 10th official release date?

There's not even confirmation of any kind of pre-order availability, so if November 10th is the release date, it's most likely a slipped date from November 3rd.
