This means Verizon won't ever allow an unlocked bootloader from anyone, basically, regardless of Moto's "promises".
Gives me an uneasy feeling about the Galnexusaurus. I suppose we will see tonight.
Hey Guys,
I'm sure you already know but a few minutes ago Steven Kondik (Better known as Cyanogen, because he invented Cyanogen Mod) recently shared this on G+
"Anonymous CM member Spills the beans on the Nexus Prime
I promised I wouldn't fold to pressure, but here you go:
With less than a day before launch, this anonymous Cyanogenmod member, who is remaining anonymous for their career safety, was caught in a Google+ Hangout late last night. After a few drinks with fellow Team Douche members, this team member divulged the path with which the next Stock Android device has come to fruition.
As you may or may not know, the CyanogenMod team has been working very closely with Google over the past 2 months. Google, who acknowledged the combined experience and technical knowledge of the development team, decided to bring in the CyanogenMod team to help design, develop, and deploy the next Nexus device.
Shortly after the interaction began, rumors started flooding in about the next Nexus, none of which were true. Claims that LG was going to be involved, claims that nVidia would be involved, and claims that it would be a Verizon Wireless exclusive was just more than the team could bear. So, the team did what they do best; they trolled the Internet.
The leaks started to turn, universally, towards a
Eh, I'm over the whole rooting, roms thing. I know I'm in the minority on the boards, but I think I'm in the majority in real life. Just give me something smooth, classy, and beautiful, like my wife.![]()
Here is another reason....MOTO BLUR!!! or Motorola Applications Platform or whatever they want to call it today. YUCK!!!!! In the famous words of Butt Head. "You can't polish a turd Beavis"
Well, crap, this phone is clearly not for me. Used Palm Pixi here I come!!
heck Yeah!!!!!!!!!!Speaking of Beavis & Butt-Head, you are aware that the new series starts on October 27, right?
What the hell? A "QR code projector"?
For what, to scan your face?
I don't get this at all.
So, just the "Prime" name was wrong, or is he trying to tell us that we basically know absolutely nothing about this device?
Also, a locked bootloader makes perfect sense, if it's coming on Verizon. Cyanogen's involvement in ICS will mean it's going to be awesome.
But I'm pretty confused by this.![]()

a kinetic recharger commonly seen with flashlights
Edit:
Okay, I don't know much about the technical details, but because of the way it's laid out, PenTile on a qHD screen has a "screen door" effect that makes a lot of people want to vomit or gives headaches. But the upside is that it has a lot more white pixels, so it's super bright and easy to read if you're outside in direct sunlight.
On the GNP, we're not sure if it will be PenTile or not, but we think that if it is, maybe since it's AMOLED (the type of screen, although I don't know what it means) and also a much higher resolution, that it will eliminate the screen door effect.
Also, Samsung is known for their awesome screens, and we're pretty sure that they're not going to throw away their reputation in that department on such an important device. So I don't think you have to worry.
Ok, obviously the Cyanogen thing is a total joke.
So you can wind up the phone when it dies?
I think it's pretty stupid that these guys with a lot of credibility are trolling. People are cracking.

The Cyan team is known for trolling, what I take from this is that the name "Nexus Prime" was just a name thrown out into the internet after a few beers.
Which is sad, I want to start a petition to ask Google and Sammy to change the name to Nexus Prime. Which is a CLEARLY BETTER NAME!
QR projector, via phone's screen, NFC code? or a QR code on the back of the device?
So if if you another Galaxy Nexus, you can add them.... to G+ or other social services?![]()
I know. Apple gives great presentations. I mean, if they can convince people to buy the 4S all basically hinging on an app (Siri), they're doing a great job.![]()
So you can wind up the phone when it dies?
Your adorable, pure, innocent mind (much like mine) was fooled as I was. The Cyanogen team, a group of guys with a ton of credibility because of the awesome ROM work they do, is apparently also known for spreading lies and trolling on various sites.![]()
And boom goes the dynamite.
Goodbye RAZR, you may have been considered. Not now.
Anyone watch the video of the Razr on Engadget? Anyone notice the Apple fanboy states their Iphone was looking a little less sexy now? Is he going to get fired for saying that? I can't wait for what we hear tonight!
