Do you know if its one of those multi colored ones? and is there a part in the samsung/google video where you can clearly see the led?

That's one thing I haven't seen answered anywhere. I highly doubt they'd release it without a multi-colored LED though.

Someone else posted a picture above where you can see it.

Have you been quiet all day because you're holding on to some "secret info" and saving it for a time the forum is full Steven? :)

Funny you mention it. I've been a little down today for a few reasons and I hinted at them earlier.

1) Last night's party is over. It was so much fun to see all the enthusiasm.
2) My source is pretty much dried up.
3) I was a tad disappointed in the hardware of the GP, wondering if I could be future proofed for 20 months. One year? Yes. 20 Months? I dunno.
4) Now that the phone is announced, it kind of signals the beginning of the close of this chapter of the build up to the phone's debut. Life goes back to normal. The work, the excitement and the adrenaline rush dimishes.

So, there you have it. I'm thinking about my next project to cheerlead. :p

I didn't know VLC was releasing to Android!!! That is awesome news! :D

Also, I don't think any of us are going anywhere quite yet. This thread will keep going til at least November 3. We'll probably tack on another 10,000 posts for good measure.

Although as you can tell, my productivity today has gone down the tubes.

As I said earlier, don't be surprised if our thread has the highest unemployment rate in the forums when all is said and done. :p

What's different about today vs. all the other days in regard to your productivity? Aren't you a lawyer...who are you billing this time to? Not sure Steven can pay seeing as he's a ballet teacher :)

. . .

Didn't the Love Tunnel say that he/she/it was getting the Nexus and paying full price for it? The fact that he/she/it knows which phones are coming down the pipeline, and yet still want to own the Nexus, paying full price no less, tells you how future-proof the Love Tunnel thinks it is, no?

Chin up, chap! This will be a glorious device!

Actually the last couple of days have been spent reading memos, case notes, and cited cases up the wazoo. I did my depos last night, and don't have any more until next week, thankfully. But I'm mainly speed-reading a bunch of stuff that I've already read before. No biggie. I just hope that there isn't a quiz on this stuff!

Also, I'm just backing up this case, I'm not chaired. So if I don't know as much as the leads, no one is surprised, lol.

Although tomorrow you'll see a lot less of me. I've got to assist on another case and I won't be able to pretend to be busy. :(

I do believe I will be happy with this phone. ICS looks uber smooth, refined and capable, and I don't foresee any situation where it would struggle to keep up with what I'm looking to do. Plus that screen... ohhhhh hh hhhh yes.

Time to take my money again, Verizon :-)

And the same goes for all those who get the phone. it will quickly become mundane in whomever's life. The coolness factor will be there but those emotions probably wont be. Life. Funny thing.

I can think of at least two.

1) VZW is no longer going to offer it, which I'm assuming is what you're saying
2) VZW is supposed to be the one to announce it, for a variety of reasons, including exclusivity agreements, conflicts with other Droid products and their pre-orders, among others.

Sorta a combo of both of those. There is NO REAL AGREEMENT yet as as all details of launch have yet to be agreed upon, including whether or not an agreement can be made in the end. The only reason there would be such extreme hush/hush and sorry sorry, wasn't supposed to say that sorta stuff going on is because things are still being negotiated and there is still a remote chance everything will fall apart.

If it was all systems go all along I am pretty certain VZW would have been involved in this much more watched and observed initial launch. There has to be loose ends that could canon ball the whole thing in an extremely unlikely turn of events for such total silence on a device SO obviously intended for VZW from the getgo.

BTW, if this were a Droid where VZW was planning a massive marketing assault and huge launch they were controlling more I would agree with your two assumptions more, but this is a device they don't even plan to offer much marketing help too from everything I hear.

Historical landmark bridge for sale - hardly used, one owner.

Wow. I've had my dual core phone for going on 4 months and the thrill's still there for me.

Tough crowd. Srsly. ;)

Thanks.. that's a good ... nay, very good point. Thank you. I actually do a few ideas for exciting times ahead for us all. I was talking to Early about it. Mwah hahahahahaha. :D

Well...I haven't really heard of any rumors of any other phones in the pipeline (although we know there are), and there are no guarantees that Verizon even gets one of those phones. So, who knows what's next...

All right, fellow Nexlings. Gotta go home to the real world and my beautiful wife. See you all freaks and geeks tomorrow. Be safe, don't do anything illegal, and be nice.

And can someone tell Dubbin to come back in?

See you all tomorrow!!

I would certainly HOPE that the Mods would give us an end date to the thread (i.e. Launch Day) so we can start composing clever and sentimental farewells :o

And then lock the thread to new posts, but leave it in the forum as something we can go back to and laugh about our ecstatic highs and manic lows along the way.

I, for one, will miss it. Sure, we'll all still be here in the forum (except for CK, who will STILL be undecided about which phone to buy in 2018 :p ) so we can stay in touch that way. I very much look forward to sharing tips, tricks, shortcuts and easter eggs that we find along the way as we explore our new uber-phone!

November is getting here WAYYY to slowly!

EDIT: j/k CK. We love ya man! Enjoy your VigRazNexSpy!

Lock will occur in or around 11/10 so. Once this baby is in hand we roll the proverbial credits.

It will be merely locked - however - experience shows that once people have the genuine article in their hands, new threads flood in, and this sort of thing will drop down the list quickly.

So - if everyone's going to be here anyway you won't be saying farewell to each other - like CK is going to leave? Pfffft. My money's on that not happening.

And if you're all busy and excited I don't think you'll want to say goodbye to the thread. :) ;)

The real reason for the lock is very, very simple.

Launch point is when many decide the phone no longer a myth and come here in search of info.

Newcomers lock on to the biggest thread (always the one like this) - see some rumored specs by page one or two - then post questions here and the thread never dies.

And people get all... um... less patient?... explaining for the 1200th time after release that's not an Exynos, not an LCD and not whatever else.

Thread lock and relegation to archives of misty memory is in your best interest.

But if you cats feel otherwise at the time, always ok to discuss with your friendly mod staff and we'll work with you.

Even Steven, who may actually being having an adrenaline high at that time. Ya never know. ;) :)
