in case you guys didnt know, steven posted some information that p3 stated a long time ago about the moto droid, then came on phandroid saying it was false or to some nature (this was when steven was a guide and i was a golden member) steven actually felt really bad about it, but luckily the support of the community didnt care, we all knew stevens heart was in the right place, and p3 just kinda shafted him like that, if i find the post i will share it

Great catch! That is completely different.

And the three dock connector thingies look silver or gray, whereas the latest pics show them looking gold in color.

I wouldn't out and out say he's lying, but that must be an early freaking build.

Yup, and my guess is that his "don't sell" tweet is probably more related to all the phone sales retweet's he does for people than anything with bigger meaning. You know CK and I would NEVER recommend selling your current phone in anticipation of this, even if you have a clunker backup to it.

yeah i'm done believing rumors either way. i just thought that the 2 different devices was interesting. only thing i got out of his tweets.

i have a droid x that works perfectly fine. if verizon doesn't get the galaxy nexus then oh well. guess i'll save $300 for a while until they get something worth upgrading to. definitely not getting a RAZR. Vigor isn't likely either since i'm pretty sure its still in the incredible line and the incredible 2 was a HUGE step backwards from the original incredible.

it would be nice to have a nexus device on verizon, but why worry about something that is out of your control?

I believe I used the power of the 10,000th post to summon a November 3rd or 10th release :)

On a side note if I see the HTC Rhyme commercial one more time tonight its on Verizon and you're going down!

The pic P3Droid posted has a different back from what I remember on the Hong Kong event. Wasn't the "Hyperskin" back a crosshatch design whereas his pic looks more "brushed" for lack of a better word?

As was already stated above. Late to the party.

LOL sniped ;-) It sure looks cool though! Wasn't there some speculation earlier about it having some metal exterior construction? Perhaps this is an early tester, would explain that rumour.

Yes but OMAP 4430, qHD resolution? Lipstick on a pig.
It's going to be one heck of a phone. If the Nexus doesn't drop I just MAY pull the trigger on this one. 4.0 will hit it eventually and I would be good to go.

Cons are WebTop and locked boot loader, which are pretty big obstacles for me but it's just to bad arse to pass up...

It's definitely an option and on the shelf

Hah. Why does everyone hate on 4430/4460 so much? We really don't even know what that means from an eventual performance standpoint at the same clock AT ALL really. I have a sneaky feeling it means VERY little, if ANYTHING.

qHD will only serve to speed up that 4430's possibly lower clocked GPU. I would have to see the screen to know what diff it really makes. Sounds like it is PenTile though. If it ended up as a normal stripe pixel qHD would basically be the same as 720p Pentile.

I get it though. We are spec crazies.

Anyone have any concrete results/evidence on Vzw throttling after 2GB?

I don't, but I'm pretty sure they wouldn't throttle an Unlimited customer at 2GB. Netflix customers will eat up a lot more than that in a month, and it'd be pointless with a sluggish connection.

Usually a service company will set some floating boundary according to the 5% (give or take) most demanding customers, where they'll either throttle you or send you a nastygram to knock it off.

can someone link the images? I don't have twitter and ion turn, don't know how to use it.

Judging from the first picture, it doesn't look like the bet-hedger had the final build.

I don't think the WebTop hurts things as much as some try to claim, even if you NEVER EVER use it. Really should be ICS with phone and Tablet interface switch though. Curious to see if they go that direction for ICS as I have the Transformer and Honeycomb works reasonably well from a trackpad and keyboard. Would be a plus having a touchscreen on the webtop though as it is handy on the transformer for some things.

Hold on a sec, so what happened? This Dbag attacked Steven for leaking info or something?

pretty much, i dont remember the whole story, but it was the same guy, something steven saw that though was very good news, and it was, but someone didnt like it too much, even though he posted it on the WORLD WIDE WEB!!!

i havent liked p3 ever since he was claiming us dx owners were getting a better version of tranquility, then decided he wasnt ever going to release it. attention whore is all he really is

its not proof until the carrier says its proof, i have a feeling because of p3droid and his crap, alot of us are going to be out of the question on getting the Gnex

Differences in opinion are what makes the world go around, but in my mind, I'm doubling down on that bet and cleaning out the dealer. This is the most solid proof we have, regardless of some tweet that has been right at times, and wrong at others. When the corporation spends money to make it public, take it to the bank. Do you think they didn't believe we would find that page? Obviously they knew what they were doing. Say hello to Verizon's Samsung Galaxy Nexus folks.
