im hoping both are available at the same time, would suck to delay the 32gb version. on Verizon's website, the ip4s is 16gb/$199; 32gb/$299; 64gb/$399.

Thats why i think i will be able to snatch the 32gb sgn for $299 on 11/10/2011 (and partial optimism)
Problem with this scenario is that the iPhone is not LTE. LTE phones generally come at a premium price. Dual Core LTE handsets Bionic and RAZR ship with 16GB. So I am going to assume that the 32 GB Nexus may come with a higher price tag.

Can't see an LTE phone like the Nexus be offered at $199.00/16GB and $299.00/32GB.

Those LTE handsets also ship with a 16GB SD card for a total 32GB storage.

Edit: It seems like VZW considers 32GB the minimum storage for an upper tier LTE device. The charge has a small amount of internal memory, and comes with a 32GB SD card to makeup for it.

I don't think you can use the iPhone as a reference price point. Apple prices their products how they please.

Not that I need all that space I hope they aspire to maintain the image of being the latest and greatest and ship it with 32.
I would think the logistics would be in their favor in producing a single version of the phone.

Bionic and RAZR ship with 16gb permanent, but also ship with 16gb mSD so are technically 32gb for $299.

True, thank you for bursting my dream, sir..
j/k

well, top of the line Android LTE phones usually start off at $299.00 with VZW, I just dont see them selling a 32gb nexus for $399 assuming they add the LTE +$100 premium and the extra 16gb $100 premium. I'll go out on a limb and say there are not enough people crazy enough to get a 32gb lte android phone for $400 AND a 2 year contract.

But then again, there are large amounts of iphans that purchased a iphone4 last year and are buying the 4s at retail???....

I'm already getting my ducks in a row. I found out that the gift certificate that my sister gave me for my birthday can be used anywhere, not just the mall. I can pre-order the gnex using my gift card. Additionally, the loyalty support personal already credited my account 50 giving me a loyalty discount toward the, that I don't qualify for ;) :) and I get 65 for my dx which can used toward my vz bill. :)

so I actually spend (after all accounting is done, I get the phone for 134. Can't beat that. :)

So what was the process you went through to get them to credit you the NE2 early? I'm basically in the same boat.

We simply have a rule that doesn't allow linking on your first post.

And the hotlink to the Amazon site for that deal with that info - you said it was about info - is retained. So - your message got out. You could have just as easily said, Amazon UK is promising a date...

Why so serious?

Dark Knight quote. Nice! :D

Sorry it was posted from the mobile app. It was for a daily deal website not a personal sale, I will gladly remove the post if it is in violation of the rules.

Please don't hurt me scary red Yoda with glowing eyes.

Thanks to javascript mysteries, that happens to me all of the time! :D

No worries. ;)

Oh now gapi this was for our bretheren that have not heard of an official announcement of the supreme Galaxy Nexus for their carriers.

I am pretty fed up with att I think going to wait till my contract is about to expire and decide if no quality ics device and no Lte in my area I will make thejump to vzw if it is not ridiculously more expensive.

I was thinking about getting nexus s but not sure I wanted to extend contract fortwo years when upgrading an year old phone

32GB $299... I thought we'd been over this. =P

That's the going rate for LTE phones. Even ones with 32gb (all of them). Even the ones with 32gb and dual core. Not a shred of evidence points towards it being more than $299 for the 32gb model.

If they really wanted to price this for success, they would sell the 16gb for $199 and the 32gb for $299
I doubt it though

OK redraider, we disagree. I may be wrong in my thinking, but I do believe it's a viable hypothesis. I'm suggesting that perhaps VZ thinks they can maximize their sales by isolating their preorders. If someone is "sold" on a phone and preorders, that is virtually guaranteed money for Verizon. If someone hesitates to preorder because they are waiting to see how a different phone compares, then that is not guaranteed money for Verizon, as the subscriber can come into the store, be indecisive, and walk out of the store without something in hand. Sure, someone who preorders can always return their phone within the 14 day limit, but the people who do this are 1) going to be a minority of the population, 2) pay VZ $35 for it, and 3) VZ will still turn around and sell the returned device for a huge chunk of change. So...VZ may find it a "smart" business strategy to hook customers in via preorder by deliberately being ambiguous about the next big phone coming down the pipeline.

A good hypothesis.

Not only this, VZ probably wants to push as many RAZR sales as they can because: 1) it's bloated which brings VZ more money, and 2) it's locked down, which is just how VZ likes to roll. The G-Nex is neither of these things, so they probably want as many people as possibleto preorder the RAZR before announcing the G-Nex.

1. How exactly does a phone with MotoBlur bring money to VZ? A very strange idea.
2. I do not think they care if the phone is locked or not in the long run, it is more important to sell it. They lock their phones down as a step towards business customers who like to feel their phones are safe.
3. They do not care if it is the Razr or the GNex they sell more as long as they get loads of money out of the deal.

I'm not saying I'm right, but I don't think you can "discredit" the possibility, either.

You definitely can discredit some of your points as they seem overly 'conspiratory' and I doubt VZ or any other carrier cares about stuff like that - they are only there to make money, money and some more money.

The biggest complaints that most people have had with Samsung are TouchWiz and waiting for updates. Neither will be an issue on a Nexus device.

And that basically is the biggest complaint with ALL manufacturers ;)

Whatever device I buy users will ALWAYS complain about updates not coming fast enough.
